A word of warning. Do not go anywhere trying to install this set of Airports from this developer. Bought it ages ago from Just Flight when it was first released for FSX. Checked it was in fact updated to v4 on Just Flight, so re-downloaded and thought okay to install in latest P3D. What a disaster! Completely screwed up a perfectly working P3D v4.3.29 set-up. No amount of Repair re-installation of P3D could rectify the disaster DD Polish Airports 1 caused.

Talk about a pain in........

To carry on further, I have installed airports from FSDT, UK2000, Flightbeam,etc, and I always double-check that they are V4 installable, and touch wood, have had no P3D just being stuck at opening screen for more than 12 hours as that last crap product did !

Have you managed to get Prepar3D working again ? 

Having you tried Clicking and Draging  both the terrain.cfg file and the scenery.cfg file out of the ProgramData location and onto your desktop ?   This will temporarily disconnect your scenery Add On's from Prepar3D

Does this work ?

 

Next: Navigate to the location below and Click and Drag the  "Prepar3D v4 Add-ons"  folder out of this location and onto your desktop

PC > Documents > Prepar3D v4 Add-ons

Does this work ?

In what way was your P3D v4 installation screwed up?

Did you install using the "Polish Airports vol.1 X v4.5" installer? Which method did you use, into scenery.cfg or as an add-on.xml? Did you check the path to the install using LorbySI's Add-on organiser? So many variables that you haven't mentioned.

I have stopped buying DD airports when I found out when modifying the AFCAD with ADE throws up an error unable to compile, when a users ask about this on his forum his reply was modifying the CAD file breaks the EULA and is not allowed. 

I like DD's airports, especially in Eastern Europe. But at times he is changing too much (or at all) the default files, which can leave a mess.

Thanks for confirming Pete's link works but when I clicked it in FF, it just displayed the URL and went no further.

Installed using the installer you quote, and they did show in add-on xml, but I could not even get P3D opened to check the Scenery Library.

Do not have LorbySI's Add-on Organiser.

I will not be buying any DD airports then. I tweak and modify just about every single AFD file that I have installed, so locked AFD files are of no use to me.

For sure they are not locked, as this is not even possible. 

I guess he wanted to say with this: Forget about support if you are changing the files against our EULA.

Which is still a bad thing of course, as changing AFD files is pretty common..

Since the update on KJFK and KIMA when you try to edit the CAD with ADE to mod the gate codes when you come to compile the airport you will now get an error, unknow error unable to compile then shows a code not related to CAD, users asked about this on his forum and you know his reply. 

Not to sound too cynical, but do you think this issue could effect just a small amount of users, or just your self? I find it highly unlikely that a product that has been on the market for quite some time all of a sudden has the ability to mess an install up without it not being common knowledge.

 

Just my opinion as warning a large community this size to avoid a developers entire catalogue because of one persons issue can have quite a negative impact.

Indeed Litmoose. Thanks for your comment. While the developer himself can be a bit arrogant,  I have Polish Airports Vols 1 & 2 working just fine in P3Dv4.3
