Probably give you and others apoplexy at rate being charged🤣

I own the base package and paid my $75 so I can watch from a bit of distance what happens to the pricing now. It's entertaining to watch the prices come up and change based on... based on what? I'd really be interested in knowing their reasoning behind the 100$.

It's a good one which makes for a lot of enjoyable flights and is definitely superior to their previous offerings. But you get better stuff for less.

Wholly agree with everything you state. Spot-on.

BTW, Steve Dra, you do a fabulous job with your repaints, no matter what aircraft you turn your immense talents to👍

Thanks Rick (and David)....you guys know that I try to give to the community when I can, and I would love nothing more than to add CS to my list of vendors I'd support in that manner.

However, even after the 1st 757 debacle years and years ago (anyone remember the "Block" purchase scam CS ran with that one?  Creating/Selling every "Block" except the infamous Block F that contained all the FMC, avionics, AP stuff that made a plane more than just a pretty face?...anyway...I even didn't appear to learn after that experience, choosing to trust them again and buy the rather good L1011 for FSX (and/or P3d v3 and less I believe...been so long).

I wanted to give them another chance and the model did look great (no doubt they have great airframe modelers)...Since I moved to P3dV4, I've been patiently waiting (read: gave up) for the v4 version.

The official post  concerning the update to V4 at their forums is laughable...despite the 1st few months when we saw the priority of the planes change several times, their "Latest" update regarding the matter: Jun 3rd, 2017.  And people wonder why some simmers just give up an move on, and try to warn new simmers unaware of this "Captain's" long history?

So...to bring everyone up to date that hasn't checked back on a year or so....the 777 is #1 to get the update to P3dV4...the L1011 is next, then the 707. The thread has been read 46,910 times....you'd think a customer-service minded company would look at that and think to maybe update the thread...I dunno', every few months, years...what?

Again...I could go on...but the point is simple...I aint painting them, their service after the sale....may seem ok...but ONLY when that plane is the current darling of their eye....once they move on....they MOVE ON....with everything...interest, supporting, updating....everything BUT selling it...they'll continue to do that, hehe.

To be honest....I'd actually love to paint an Eastern Bare Metal L1011 as I flew on them and loved the experience....and with my history of producing bare metal liveries.....

sendfile.php?Location=AVSIM&Proto=file&I

Heck...I'd really love to give her the PBR bare metal treatment like I did on my AA Maddog....but we 1st have to get CS to update the plane to V4 (after the 777 of course), and THEN wait for them to add the PBR modeling.  Pretty sure at my age, I will be in a place where its really hard to paint (read:dead)....before we ever see a V4, PBR rendered L1011 from this vendor.  If we do and I'm still alive (with the ability to move a mouse), you'll see a bare metal, PBR rendered Eastern L1011 from me.😉

Ditto, for the L-1011 and the ubiquitous 707, one of their better offerings.

I was poking fun that I've never charged for my repaints over the years from reputable vendors,

I dabbled in repaints awhile back just for my own personal amusement to make a consistent personal airline livery across my fleet. Got some decent results on most planes. Then I tried to repaint the CS C130 back when I ran FSX. Good grief that was a freaking mess. I never got it to look even halfway good. If their other planes are like that, and I were good enough at repaints that anyone but me would fly them, I'd *definitely* charge for CS repaints! 😉

...But the base pack has now gone up to $99(although its in sale at its orginal price of  $75 at the moment). Unbelivable, over $200 for the whole lot now once the "sale" is over.

So that's how much I spent!  Over $200 as I did not buy the base that was recently on sale for $25.  Just got the 757-300.  Although I like it a lot, I did not see any difference between the -200 and -300.  I now own the base and all expansions.  I hope they continue to update it as bugs are found.  So far they have been very good at doing this and their SimOps which shows all info about the aircraft, tutorials, manuals, links to the forums, info on updates, etc., is great!  The 757 model is absolutely great and glad CS released a package for P3DV4.  If you have problems with it because you just loaded the aircraft, set up the fmc and took off, try going to the FMC Menu and configuring it there.  And make sure you enter the trim settings they are showing there in the Menu!

Has the latest patch corrected the wildly inaccurate trim settings calculated by the FMC? I agree that the aircraft is very nicely modelled, so I am keen to get back in it when a handful of issues have been sorted out.

I think most of the smoke on this issue is related to people trying to use trim settings calculated by third-party software like TOPCAT rather than the value computed by the FMC.  I've not had a problem with finding the acft out of trim, difficult to rotate, or premature uncommanded rotations etc when setting the FMC value before takeoff.

I use the values calculated by the FMC. I have never used any software like TOPCAT.

The only time I ever saw an issue with the FMC trim value was when the fuel/payload had changed after the FMC had been initialized and programmed (I had been messing with their cargo loader and didn't realize it was dynamically making changes to the load as I played around with the loader).  That said, I started fairly late, with version 1.2 (or maybe 1.02?), so perhaps there was a problem with it before that...but I haven't experienced a problem with it since acquiring the add-on during the 2018 Christmas sale.

I'm only using the trim setting from the CDU and it's way out of trim on takeoff. I can't think of anything I might have done wrong (setting up the FMC, putting the correct values in...). That's the bizarre thing, some people have trim issues, others don't.

I'm thinking of getting it but could one of you please tell me what's the MTOW for the 200 and the 300 according to the aircraft.cfg? I ask for the cfg weight because the ones listed in the manuals are usually short of the cfg weight as was the case for PMDG.

The B752 including the 75F is 256,000 and the B753 is 273,000. Max Gross Weight as per the aircraft.cfg

Next Christmas I presume, or do they run these sales more than once a year...?
