You will simply miss several things doing this, as some repaints and some models, even freeware, can simply not being downloaded automatically. Just sit next to your rig and read a book for example, it does not take that long to install everything.

In any case, models and sound have to be downloaded only once. As soon as it is installed, you are fine. The AiTRSP 1.8 is such an example, download it once, tell OCI where it is and you are settled.

you only have to download that once.

I read the manual and tried to install this yesterday and I was a bit surprised by the complexity of the All In One Installer.....I kind of expected that you press one button and it does all of the work.  I was asked to log into Avsim, Flightsim, etc. and I guess that is normal.  I currently have MyTraffic6 for P3D v4 and thought this would be an improvement.

It looks like you need to pick one airline at a time...that is a lot of work, I could not figure out how to select multiple airlines and preferably just install all of them.  What is the strategy all of you are using to install these AI aircraft and flight plans?

I've recently realized that all the GA-Corporate flight plans downloaded give me no paints.  Whats with that? The tool section/missing flight plans or flight something or other confirms it.

Any Ideas? I don't remember anything stating these were just plans and no planes.

I was instant in the same boat and i really is not one of the AI traffic "sim guy" BUT besides those small bumps on the road you describe the AI at least in V5 is like day and night experience .

Performance and AI is SO much better like default A320 vs FSL.

If you choose to setup only non payware its just a blast , and i instant made a small fee to the developer

So did you add all airlines or only a select few?

On the bottom of OCI, you'll see a tickbox titled "multiselection"

Click that and select each file you want, then select the "OCI-Bulk" button and it will install.

Be advised that selecting a lot of large files (Think Delta, AAL, BA) will take a very long time and might slow down your bandwidth significantly.

Keep the blue part on top...

How did you figure out which airlines to download.  I would think you need to download a hundred of them to capture a good cross section of what is flying into and out of most busy world airports.

Determine what airlines you want to see represented in the sim and get them.

My personal method is to think about what airports I fly to the most and reference the wiki page for them to see what operators are present there.

There is no right way to install AI and it's never going to be perfect. My goal is peripheral immersion, so I am less concerned about correct schedules or flightplans. I just want to see some life around me.

Problem is if it’s unable to download a flight plan/ model / plan it pauses the download

lit would be great to see it bypass that airline/ airlines etc.

and continue downloading And then it makes a list where the ones where unable to download. You could come back at your Own accord and install them manually

I started off being selective, only choosing airlines that I recognised as flying to and from airports I knew in the UK and nearby ( I only fly in Europe), but was so impressed that I ended up selecting all of them.

Once done, it's done! I do keep it all up to date by getting it to scan again every so often -- new airlines, sane airlines new scgedules, and so on -- but then the number to select and import is much less and doesn't take so long.

When you get to that stage note that there are separate lists of new airlines and new or updated schedules. I look at both.

All this gives me huge numbers of AI flights, but I limit the nmuber in P3D via FSUIPC, targeting my desired frame rate.

If you find that it stalls while installing an airline, you can just close that airline install and return to it later. Often it's just a server issue or something that works fine the next day or even a couple hours later.

Understood. But for instance, if were to enter multiple airlines, say 15. Enter install oci bulk and did not want sit in front of my pc. Let AIM do it’s thing, but if it does pop up that could not install that certain airline.it would then ignore it and start in the next airlineamd save the aircraft name  that wasn’t installed to a list for future install.

So the  point I’m trying to make is to have it done automatically without the manager pausing the other downloads.
