AIG AI Manager

Featured Replies

I think the issue for first time users of AIG is that you think its a one button click and it will install the AI packages but in reality you need to read the tutorial, do a bit of setup and then it takes a long time to run....with some requirement to watch it and download a few things or make a few selections from which AI to use.  It is simple and easy once you get going but a bit surprising for the first time user.

Only real problem I have run into is that it seem to always want me to purchase the A350 model as I am guessing there is no good freeware of it.  If I eventually want to add this model by purchasing it, how do you get it to update the airlines you have installed?

to quickly explain my strong adverse reaction with the AIG Traffic One CIick Installer on my very first Aer Lingus flightplan (OCI=True flag)...

i was dismayed to be directly linked to the following (not even one of the 3 mentioned/hooked in websites)...

i am, however, pleased that others speak highly of AIG - & will keep an open mind about AIG future developments...

+1 for easy 'One Click' installs - i like Orbx & Steam for that reason...

& pleased i supported the payware developer of Traffic Global (Early Access) for P3Dv5 - which a dummy like me was able to get up and running very quickly!

You really wouldn't be so pleased if you could compare the two. It might be easy to have gotten installed, but it is also a VERY basic and incomplete AI setup. Whatever floats your boat though.

As for Mediafire, there's nothing wrong with a file hosting site to help cover the incredible amounts of bandwidth needed for a vastly superior but still free traffic.

40 years and you have never heard of "Adblock"?

Or are you so tempted to click on this ads instead of the BIG GREEN "Download" button?

Many uses filehoster like Mediafire because it doesn't cost anything.

never tempted to click on the ads...

I believe this particular download file was like ‘Cargo door 3’ for a specific AI aircraft (very geeky, in my opinion)

if you use AIG AI - why are you unhappy?

& crikey, I hope Traffic Global matures beyond ‘Early Access’ - been a while coming...

my AI traffic is working really well with P3Dv5 - so there.

I just installed AIG for the first time and selected groups of airlines over several hours for the install.  I would guess I installed 50 airlines and that Mediafire screen popped up maybe 3 or 4 times asking for a download.  The rest was all auto from Avsim, Flightsim or the AIG forums.  The only thing I would recommend is perhaps purchasing the A350 model from SimMarket as that one comes up a lot and if you don't have it there is no free alternative so it just gets skipped.  The entire process took about 3 hours for me and required somewhat regular selections of various things over the process.  Not something you can leave alone and come back with it being all done.  Anyway, not too bad once you work through it and a great result at the end.

Indeed. But I think what everyone seems to forget is to compare the amount of AI traffic and level of accuracy of the flight schedules you get with AIGM-OCI. No other AI traffic add-on is being keep so much up to date on this regard out there.

And to be honest considering this is a FREE product which is also being supported for FREE by Kaii, Chris among many others on the Alpha India group, it does an amazing Job which other payware products available in the market are very much lacking.

So the installation process takes long? well it is because it has a massive amount of AI models, repaints and flight schedules which no other AI package have. So it prompts for downloads of AI models? so what? it is a FREE product and it is using any FREE available resources it can use, therefore it cannot have those models already packaged for distribution, you need to download them yourself. So anyone complaining about ads and these minor things, they should consider they are not sending $41.99 (Cost of Traffic Global) or $44.95 (cost of UTL) to Kaii and Chris.. neither you are paying anything for their developing time, support time, server costs and bandwidth costs.. and thinking about it maybe we should? perhaps they should start charging $50 USD to accommodate everyone else needs!.

In any case, my special thanks to @Kaiii3 and his wonderful team for all the efforts they put EVERYDAY at NO COST for the entire flying community.

Hard agree - but the extra specialness of this post is that it means you're not creating more problems and delays for LM with HF2! 🤣

please guys,

do not use the doing it for FREE excuse - very poor form

One Click Installer is simply that - AIG AI Traffic simply does not deliver on that promise.
