Did anyone hear/see anything about products like Buildings HD or the OpenLC product line? I did follow Jarrad's talk but couldn't identify anything. Are these dead?

Kind regards, Michael

According to Bill Womack on a news website comments section, he's been spending all of his time on Buildings HD. Apparently it's going to wrap up soon.

No idea on OLC. I imagine it will get more attention now that Aus v2 has released.

Thanks guys, much acknowledged. The default buildings are really showing they come from another age those days. If Bill does them he'll treat them well 🙂

Kind regards, Michael

Performance seems a lot better, better optimized anyway. I did a quick and dirty video over Melbourne. Not much in the way of autogen popping either. A nice steady 30fps, Not one stutter.

@ZKOKQ Look's really good, Tho do you have a more complex aircraft to really test? What were you're settings? As we all know many factors can change how it/any scenery performs.

Flew around Melbourne city and performance is excellent. Going to test Sydney with FT YSSY.

I'm hoping that Ants Aussie Airports work with AU 2, especially Hamilton.

Me too Jose, plus OZx's airports! I'd be keen to know if North Sydney has had it's CBD added in this version. It's a pretty predominant feature of Sydney's landscape (right across the harbour from the main CBD) and an important VFR reference.

If you're getting autogen popping in a piper cub...its time to upgrade your rig.

Upgrade to what ? lol Last time I used Aus V1 it was on my previous rig, similar to yours it was, a 2700K..  I suppose what I meant was, it was nice to not see autogen popping, on my newer system.

I watched the ORBX presentation this is the full continent of AUS, now if they did a product like this for the UK it would be a buy for me with the seasons and the UK is smaller.

Probably, we will never see this. Unfortunately, it looks like ORBX has abandoned FTX Regions in favor for TE development. FTX AU V2 may be the last FTX region. The latest new FTX region was GES two(?) years ago.

For the record, John Venema persistently says  the contrary, that they have LC based projects in mind. We'll see.

You know that they have 5 products exactly of that kind for the British Isles with the seasons, right ? Older but still enjoyable.
