The SDK should be released as soon as it is viable to do so regardless of how important other features are. Since the majority of the voters will be consumers, I don’t think it fairly depicts the share of developers concerns and needs. Yeah that is a tough one. I'm by no means a developer, but an SDK is in fact what a developer needs to make addons am I correct? So technically all of us here should want an SDK as a top priority because without one means no addons. So I'm going to kinda exclude that in my mind. For me it goes: 1. Seasons 2. Rotorcraft 3. ATC 4. VR Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?
October 1, 20196 yr 1. ATC. Core function for those of us who dont think of FS as a social activity and prefer single-player. 2. Seasons. With the weather and atmospherics modeled so realistically, it would be a crime not to experience snowy approaches to minimums with poor braking action. 3. Rotorcraft. Multi-engine turbine helos, please. Again, with scenery so detailed it would be a crime not to see from at 200 feet and 100 knots in a Blackhawk. 4. VR. TrackIR is the devil. 1:1 head tracking in VR is the future. But resolution and FOV of current gen hardware is insufficient for instrument flying so it's last on the list. If all I did was formation flying, this would be first on the list. SDK and AI have already been confirmed, so I don't rank those. Edited October 1, 20196 yr by Noodle
October 1, 20196 yr Author Track it is fine by me until VR gets more refined. Thank you. Rick $Silver Donor EAA 1317610 I7-7700K @ 4.5ghz, MSI Z270 Gaming MB, 32gb 3200, Geforce RTX2080 Super O/C, 28" Samsung 4k Monitor, Various SSD, HD, and peripherals
October 2, 20196 yr Track IR = bleh! (to me anyhow - lol) I've never liked it despite trying to get used to it about 6 different times over the years. My favorite thing about VR is the natural movements and looking around that mimics things I do in a real plane.
October 2, 20196 yr Yeah, TrackIR was a necessary evil when the only alternative was a hat switch for view control (especially in combat sims like DCS). But the 1:1 head tracking, 6DoF, and sense of scale and distance in VR is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, if I can't read the HUD or airspeed indicator or whatever critical thing i need to see inside the cockpit because it's a pixelated mess, it does no good. But despite its flaws I had a VERY hard time going back to using a monitor. You give up so much immersion. Once we get high-resolution and better FOV, I'll probably turn into one of the squeeky-wheel VR zealots we have around here. But we're not there yet, and like @188AHC said, I'll survive until we are. In the interim, I'd rather see other features added first.

Essentially this is correct, but essential "built in" features that are realistic help to pave the way for greater realism in add-ons. In other words it has to start with the base product or the add-ons will lag behind...just like the state we are in currently with AI/ATC.
October 2, 20196 yr Voted ATC/AI, but Seasons are also very important to me. (Don't mind if after release) MS said the SDK will be included, so no need to vote that one. Edited October 2, 20196 yr by RamonB Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.

There's no pixelated mess whatsoever in an HP Reverb Edited October 2, 20196 yr by irrics
October 2, 20196 yr It was Seasons and ATC for me we know the answer to one but not the other. Raymond Fry.
October 2, 20196 yr Seasons as I think almost anyone, from the most advanced simmer to someone brand new to the hobby, would like to see Winter snow, Fall colors ( can they do that ), Spring flowers ( can they do that ), and virtual people in swim suits in the Summer, splashing in the lake ( can they do that ), as I take off in my X-Cub Float Plane ( fingers crossed ) 🙂 Edited October 2, 20196 yr by Learjet777 "Coffee, if your not shaking, you need another cup" Flight Sim Break Discord Channel: https://discord.com/invite/fCV62Ka2QZ

October 2, 20196 yr Is it already confirmed that there will be no ATC and AI at release? Without seasons, no ATC and no AI it would be not a big surprise if the performance would be top, see Aerofly FS2. Can't imagine that flying around in a deserted and quiet environment would be very immersive for many people.
