In fact, like VR and seasons, the dev team said it's something they're "looking at" but for which they do not have a specific plan.

It's easy to miss with the amount of videos and interviews that fell from the sky all at once.

One of the testers said ATC was switched off in the pre-alfa but when he asked they said details will come later, but VR and seasons are not planed for release date but will be worked on later.

The quotes about ATC definitely sounds like it's behind things like VR and Seasons due to the technical limitations.

Right around 20:30 in that interview from the other thread.

Hmmm. I didn't get that. I'll give it another listen.

What I heard was yearly cycle is already in, and the engine can do a list of seasonal things, but it wasn't a priority.

But to be fair, I wouldnt be surprised in the slightest that seasons are dar more difficult to implement than other requested features. Just look at how much magic has to be done just to get the supplied data in as-is.

AI was turned off. Not ATC.

Looks like the vr loving Russian bots have woken up 😜

For the first time in a release cycle, it's almost hard to come up with a request since so much is already present or incoming.  I chose seasons, since it hasn't actually been confirmed 'at release' yet.

It's amazing to see all this good stuff come out.  it just keeps getting better!

I sincerely hope that there will be an audit to make sure there haven't been a lot of new accounts made simply to skew the voting.

Skew the voting towards what?

Too many people voting for Seasons in your view?

Omg these forums are insane 😞

Its a hard choice for me.

I want to fly helicopters in VR but I can choice one.

I think that VR ina must on release, helicopters can wait so I my choice is VR.

1 VR

2 helicopters

3 seasons

4 ATC

5 SDK ( is I think already covered at launch to get 3rd party on board)

Oh no bruther. Multiplayer is the way to go. VATSIM is you're really into the ATC thing. msFlights.net & Eastern Hops are still active multiplayer communities. JOINFS provides multiplayer connectivity for multiple sims FSX and XPlane. Other options as well.

Seems silly to have this incredible weather engine and then not be able to file an IFR flight plan and fly with ATC, which is what Flight Sim World did (with TrueSky) and it struct me as ridiculous then as well.

I’m certain that’s all coming eventually.

We have to remember that the vast majority of users are well below the threshold of understanding or enjoying IFR flight. It’s a very niche thing.

You and I want that, as does most everyone here, but I can understand why that is not anywhere near the top of the priorities.

Remember, this is in the pre-alpha stage. Still months and months away from release.
