December 19, 20196 yr This is excellent news. The cause has finally been solved, and those who swore and coursed at TFDI should perhaps take out their frustrations elsewhere. "As of 12/12, Lockheed Martin have confirmed that this is indeed a bug in Prepar3D. They are now working on a fix and a workaround in the interim. Please keep an eye on this thread, and we will continue to update you here." https://forums.tfdidesign.com/index.php?/topic/3754-view-switch-crash/ Bruce R Bruce Ross

Well, I don't know if I qualify for those who swore and coursed, but it has been my problem too. Honestly, I find it a bit weird it turned out to be P3D's bug, as it NEVER happened to me with any other aircraft except for this one. Go figure...
December 19, 20196 yr Woohoo! Very exciting. I had parked this plane, despite my love for it, because I had experienced the CTDs and didn't want to invest my time in a flight that may end in nothing. After all, I don't have all the time in the world and would like my flights to be A-to-B affairs, rather than A-to-nothing affairs. December 19, 20196 yr this would be nice to add to my hangar if fixed. My biggest problems these days is flying so many different types. I feel like the jack of all trades and master of none. But if fixed, I would buy this plane. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

March 28, 20206 yr To quote the source, We have a fix. Lockheed Martin was able to confirm with us what it was (a texture format issue compounded by a bug in Prepar3D, it seems). We've done some internal testing over the last few weeks and it appears that it is solved. We are doing a final round of testing now, but we expect the fix to be public relatively soon.
