And all inbounds will be forced to divert or face crashing on landing. Microsoft could make this really bad if they had a mind to. Be careful what you wish for! Instant gratification options have always been available. 🙂

And how do you know where the taxiways and runways are if everything is white? Making it as real as it gets could bring a whole new set of problems we haven't considered. Asobo know where the runways and taxiways are, they can easy have an in-game option that keeps them clear. Matthew S

Choose another airport is the obvious solution. The point I was trying to make is this is an alpha build so new features can be added as well as existing ones being removed. Quite how Microsoft will handle snow-covered airports is probably being discussed as we read this. They probably have a few scenarios to choose from. Which way they decide to go will be important. January 2, 20206 yr at the same time, during a landing request, if a control tower asks us to move to another airport because of weather conditions, it would be really fun. Snow accumulates and slowly start getting single objects and tiles "snow" covered. The only similar approach to this is present in XP, and only with the xEnviro addon. Nowhere else in the simulation market there is something similar Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."
January 2, 20206 yr I still have NO CLUE at all on why you are talking about vertical snow accumulation (as in, snow accumulating on snow and making the surface grow in height) when the video is only showing us horizontal snow accumulation. What we see is only a progressive change of textures from their own color to a white snow like one with certain rules. You can see some slight vertical accumulation on some of the rooftops in the NYC shot.
