if (trees == tall && !user.Name.Equals("mSparks"))
{
     trees.FindAll(t => t.Height > realistic).ForEach(tr => tr.Height = believable);
}

Just add this code snippet in <install_directory>/Asobo/FS2020(he-he-he)/Modules/Genius/workarounds.fs after line 10.

I deleted the mSparks thing and while it is running twice as fast, 10 hours later Im still waiting for it to load. It seems stuck on 2%.

Also, not sure either version is practical for people without the xbox developer kit.

Define "from above" 😉

There are ton of better examples over the world, but something like this:

That's not realistic,  I can't see the trunk!! Lol

I kinda liked the canopy of the photogrammy better.

Here you can see the new generic trees are nearly as tall as the buildings surrounding the park:

OMG! Asobo what are you doing?!?!

You have completely ruined the realism by dropping the ball on the scale of "autogen" trees.  Have you learned nothing?!?!?!?!

EPIC FAIL, FS2020 has just "jumped the shark".

Well done Asobo, well done !!!

Is this sarcasm? I can't tell.

Matthew, the trees have the right size, it is the buildings which are too small .

I still thinking that photogrammetry trees give a better leafy effect from the air. And also gives some size variation between trees.

The problem with autogen ones is that always have the same size. And not always match the real trees form.

I cannot agree more!

No, it's not sarcasm. For me Asobo just ruined the scenic realism but introducing comically oversized "autogen" trees, just like we see in P3D and FSX.

Also the uniform shape of every tree is an eyesore... Bring back the irregular, naturalistic "photogrammetry" trees.

FS2020 has "jumped the shark".

What happened to the PhD who was supposedly working for Asobo? Surely he/she can't think this looks right?

Now maybe, for the "Let it Snow" video Asobo didn't have time to implement a snow effect on the "photogrammetry" trees and so did this "hack" just to get the video out.  My fingers are crossed!

It's still an alpha so I'm hopeful they can sort the trees out by the time the real thing comes out...

Frankly, given the excellence of everything we've seen so far, these oversized "autogen" trees are an absolute shameful debacle.

It seems that mediocrity is setting in.  Bean counters at work?  I can imagine the discussion, "We don't have time for photogrammetry trees, those autogen trees we took straight out of FSX look so beautiful, the users wont notice."

actualy is a footage about winter and perhaps season. Ils not a footage about tree. Con and pro for autogen vs blob in Naples but we are in january not at end release.

Honestly they look fine..I'm sure they can tweak them since it's an alpha but people really need to calm down they are just trees it's hardly something core to the sim that will take months to fix.
