April 30, 20206 yr April 30th, 2020 Development Update POSTED BY: MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR TEAM Screenshot by RentalCanoe6839 As we bring April to a close, the team remains focused on the core deliverables needed to bring the next iteration of Microsoft Flight Simulator to market. That said, we also recognize the importance of others deliverables that many of you in the community value and we wanted to take a moment to provide a status update on a few of these: DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP The team is currently working on updating the DR. We are pushing to release an updated DR on 05.07. PARTNERSHIP SERIES The current health challenges have added a bit of a delay to our Partnership Series updates. As we continue to work through this situation with our partners, the team is excited to officially announce that the next Partnership Series Spotlights will feature – NAVBLUE, meteoblue, and FlightAware. We expect to provide a timeline for when we will be releasing each spotlight in our 05.07 update, along with the next set of Partnership Series Spotlights we are planning to announce. SDK UPDATE The team is targeting 05.07 to provide an update on the SDK work. Though we are all working through a unique and challenging situation, our commitment to deliver the very best Flight Simulation experience in collaboration with the community remains strong. Whether posting to the forums, providing Alpha build feedback, commenting on posted screenshots, debating runway undulations, discussing inaccurate reporting, or just keeping up with the latest… thank you. Bringing people together, even if to debate, is a great way of keeping people connected in a time when so many of us are separated from each other. This community that we share together, has been an incredible source of inspiration and motivation to the team. Wishing all of you, your family and friends, the very best of health and well-being. – MSFS TEAM Here is an update on the current postponed deliverables: MAY/JUNE – Partnership Series update will be released. April 30, 20206 yr Awesome clouds as usual. But those Torres del Paine need a high resolution mesh or a special 3D model. Maybe someone can coax Frank Dainese into porting some of his awesome X-Plane sceneries to MSF? Edited April 30, 20206 yr by Farlis

Firstly the detail they have included on some (presumably) remote tropical islands is great to see and gives me hope that Asia (if this is the location) will get some much needed love 😍 The second screenshot I have few words for... this could be real life.... outstanding

April 30, 20206 yr Guys! I believe we have confirmation of actual airlines now. The shot by OperatorLand468 shows the Airbus in British Airways colors!

I'm just going to say that people have been making custom liveries for a certain flight sim that is popular on this board 🙂 no airline liveries (so far?)

April 30, 20206 yr "inaccurate reporting" I think they're talking about that bogus article that came out the other day. Shots fired. Also nice to see Matthew getting a shout out for undulating runways! 🤣👍 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.
April 30, 20206 yr Another nice update with a few eye popping screenshots... especially enjoyed the one of Hidden Lake in GNP. Spectacular mountain scenery... Ken
April 30, 20206 yr This also confirmed what people were speculating for months, they're using Meteoblue for their weather.

I like to think it's constructive 🙂 Some of those trees are enormous compared to the houses. Imagine the size of a human. I guess it could be plausible? Edited May 1, 20206 yr by NZ255
April 30, 20206 yr To me, of the services NavBlue offers, the ones that would make most sense in MSFS are the following: - Databases (navdata, & airport mapping databases) - EFB (Charts) Would be great if these were included! As far as ADS-B tracking, that is what Flightaware specializes in. MeteoBlue is obviously the weather data provider.
