Don't know if they have changed anything else.... G I dont know if it is just me, but SPD P mode is pretty much unusable at the moment, it oscillates like crazy even at any power setting. So pitch hold or VS mode is still the way to go. I hope they fix it, and finally code a proper custom AP for this. At this pricepoint, it should be. June 13, 20206 yr Well I just bought this, I'm kinda disappointed that it installs into the p3d folder. Has anyone tried installing this into a dummy folder and then use add-on.xml method? Unfortunately it seems not, The "official" statement is in Sec2 Page7 of the manual "This addon is installed using the standard (conventional) FSX method to avoid issues with third-party software components in both Prepar3d and FSX Steam. The addon will not work properly if installed otherwise". That said maybe someone will figure out and share a way to do it "unofficially". Jose A. V2 took me 2 or 3 times to try to download, kept timing out near end of download. This new website is probably the same. LM's method of installing addons outside of the sim is superior to the FSX way. Sad, really, I've been looking forward to this upgrade since v3 was announced. Hopefully it can actually be installed outside P3D. Greg

June 13, 20206 yr Author Welp ... I bought it, and regardless of the SPD vs SPD P modes, I'm a happy camper. I've only taken the plane for some circuits around my P3D home airport, CZBB, so no long flights yet. However, I enjoyed hand-flying it, and I loved the detail of the cockpit. Joel Murray @ CYVR (actually, somewhere about halfway between CYNJ and CZBB)

Graphically it is certainly well done, nice that the passenger cabin no longer resembles a bad acid trip. Seems to fly well, even if SPD-P is a complete bag of cats at the moment..... Not at the moment, hopefully the Speed/Pitch mode will be fixed at some point, but right now it's pretty much $40 for new cockpit designs if you're upgrading. If you're buying new then the 35 is a much better prospect imho.... G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
June 14, 20206 yr I see. I already own the 35 and also wanted this one (via the upgrade path) but i wont upgrade if the autopilot is still unrealistic. Not at that price point. Juan Ramos
