I have to say, I'm quite disappointed with Asobo for not modelling the itty bitty ladybugs, spiders and cobwebs etc. between the individual blades of grass.

They did joke about butterflies in this interview.

  • That sim video appears to be taken in the Alps, and yet the grass is clearly poa pratensis, when everyone knows that the predominant species in that area is festuca rubra.  This is an outrage! I

Asobo could easily use shorter grass in urban areas (including urban airports).

Ever been to an urban airport and gotten close enough to see the grass there? 😄

Oh my Gawd. Matthew has found (created?) another hobby horse to ride! LOL!  /joking/

No, not at all.

The grass is comically oversized in urban areas and Asobo has really dropped the ball on this issue.  In fact I don't think Asobo will even be able to find the ball, given the grass is so long. 🤦‍♂️

Grass is a really good addition, very enjoyable on small airstrips, even more with wind.

I wonder what else is going to be 'too tall' by release day.🙄

It's an improvement but sorry, the grass in urban landscapes is too tall.  It's fine for rural/bush areas.  Just look out the window. 🤦‍♂️

I agree with this, it needs to be tuned for urban areas and the grass more often looking like low cut bermuda or 'flatter' grass.

Very long time no post... FS2020 has brought me back!

So the grass bends in the wind?  If you think about it, what's the real difference between rendering grass and trees?  Are the trees and grass too high?

In some parts of the video, I feel like Antman flying over the rainforest!  Can't wait for "bicycle" mode.  Great scenery everywhere.
