August 16, 20205 yr Thanks for posting. I wish he had shown the frame rates from the VC as well. This gives me a good idea of what to expect performance-wise. I'm using a 2K monitor(less than half the number of pixels to render) with a 9700K cpu and GTX2070 so should be good to go. August 16, 20205 yr The video system only has 16 Gb or mediocre speed system RAM. Most other performance videos I've seen to date pretty much settle on 19 Gb of system RAM. That might have some bottleneck effect. Edited August 16, 20205 yr by Bottle
August 16, 20205 yr Seems pretty good, given that it's the most frame-hungry aircraft, in some busy scenery, running in 4k.
August 16, 20205 yr His system RAM is on the slow side (2400MHz), so that will also be holding back everything else a bit. Love the performance monitoring tool he has. Gotta get that for tuning my settings. August 16, 20205 yr yep. the game is mostly limited by the mainthread. It's the the legacy of DX11 engine. The number of draw calls is just too much for modern CPU. This is why we need DX12. https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.

August 16, 20205 yr This internal performance monitor may come in handy to figure out best settings for those who don't utilize RivaTuner or similar software. Great visual representation of where the bottle neck may be with our systems. Dylan Charles "The aircraft G-limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular airplane. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no G-limits."

Not likely, but possible, and I suspect MSFS is adjusting things on the fly to keep this from happening. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! August 16, 20205 yr I trust Asobo more than LM to managed VRAM. DX12 and DLSS would certainly be a game changer for the sim. I really hope it's not too far from launch https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.
