Here's a video from today, showcasing the London DLC. It's not even an airliner, however, while perf. is smooth, there are constant stutters during the entire video.

Some people are obviously blind to this. I haven't seen a single video without these stutters.

Sure. It never even came close to filling my 16GB (11GB at most). Also VRAM is usually utilized less than 50%.

Before you answer my question. Im not active anymore or had been for some time now as far as RW flying goes. But le me ask you this . Are you current in real life ? If so do you flight for fun or work ? Im just trying to figure how you came to that conclusion that this is for kids to flip upside down at home ????

I have no problems and I'm running in 4K on high settings.

Mine isn't stuttering (44Gb RAM).

B787 runs okay on my computer FPS-wise locked to 60fps and is smooth (1080x1920), and on the plus side, ATC was actually saying my callsign 'sexything 76', which was hilarious. Also noted that Easyjet, Ryanair and Qatar airlines were present on ATC chat. LNAV, VNAV etc appearted to work okay and it even handled pretty sharp turns on the magenta line quite well when I deliberately put a stupid transition on the SID just to test it:

On the downside however, when I hit pause, it decided that this was the command to execute a barrel roll. Now I'm no expert on the 787's autopilot, but I'm pretty sure that's not a function of the real aeroplane's systems 🤣. Still maybe it was me doing something wrong although I don't think so.:

Works perfectly for me. 9700k, 32gb DDR4, RTX 2080ti and installed on dedicated SSD. High FPS in major airports in the 380. Could be an issue your end.

As far as the airliners go, they're not very complex for sure, but they have enough functionality to have an enjoyable Vatsim experience until something better comes out. For example no holds, but you can do those manually anyway.

So sounds like they shifted gears with a change of plans... or MS knew it all along and thought Asobo shouldn't know initially as it would make for more convincing marketing/hype coming from the dev team members. Ok I'm really reaching, but that's only because I still haven't purchased so I have not much to do around here 🙂

in the beta, hitting P " Pause" while on the autopilot caused some very interesting AP behavior when you unpaused... that should have been fixed IMHO.

work around was to hit ESC instead.

I have to agree with Colonel X. The release version has stutters in an unacceptable way, no matter what resolution or setting.

Bottomline for me: Alpha 2 was great, the next Alphas got worse one after another, the Beta was at least smooth. The only positive aspect of the release version so far is that the AP works.

You've omitted one vital piece of information. Screen resolution. 1920*1080 or higher? 3840*2160 (UHD) is 4 times the number of pixels. Always include resolution when stating your CPU, GPU and RAM.

Incidentally, that spin it entered after stalling when rolling inverted, was unrecoverable. I tried to roll it back the right way off the PFD, but it oversped in the dive, and since I have it on full realism, it over-stressed the airframe and game over.

When you hit pause unfortunately it enters a wacky hibernation state where the visual of the plane stops but everything else keeps going.  So at the moment it's definitely a buggered up and I recommend not using as you've found out! 🙂  There is ANOTHER pause that you can assign in the controller settings that is more of what people are looking for and of course there is always the Escape key to bring up the menu to walk away for a bit.

It's just that some people either do not recognise these stutters, or they ignore them.

Well, you're arguably running one of the best systems money can buy these days. Of course you get high performance. You're still getting the same stutters as everyone else.
