August 30, 20205 yr Looking forward to the RTX3090 I think this will bring V5 to a new level of FPS especially because if the rumors are true the 3090 has more the enough VRAM. Currently I use my Radeon VII and since I completely reinstalled Win10 and V5 HF2 i have very nice 20 - 35 FPS over ORBX Germany South, TE Netherlands and TE GB. And as far as I know already with a 2080 TI you have a lot more frames then with the Radeon VII the only limiting factor is the VRAM for the 2080. Cant wait to see what happens with a RTX3090 🙂 I hope it`s the right forum as it`s about V5 and not only about the 3090 C. August 30, 20205 yr Even I am going for 3090 but with all this new hardware the P3D dam(n) engine should give us over 100fps. Just trying to achieve over 30fps is just plain annoying and sad. I need power for VR plain and simple. August 30, 20205 yr The 3090 will be $1400. Want something cheaper but still above 8GB? $800 for 10GB. This is a big yikes for anyone on v5 trying to escape VRAM OOM hell. Massive, massive disappointment.

They will be lower than on my 32” BenQ. That’s the downside of larger displays. I don’t have MFS so can only use P3Dv4. The computer is off so I can’t give you exact settings but they’re close to minimum. Ray (Cheshire, England). August 31, 20205 yr Oh dear, it appears that Nvidia are going to require us to take out a mortgage to get hold of a GPU that has enough VRAM to avoid OOMs in P3Dv5. I had hopes that the 3080 would launch with 12GB VRAM. That seems not to be the case: Quote With the RTX 3080, you’re looking at 4,352 CUDA cores, 10GB of GDDR6X VRAM (at 19Gbps) and 320W on the power front (a version with more video memory may be launched further down the line). Quote ...the RTX 3090 is loaded up with 5,248 CUDA cores (as was previously rumored), with a massive 24GB of GDDR6X video memory (ditto) featuring a speed of 19.5Gbps, with power consumption pegged at 350W (again as rumored before). https://www.techradar.com/uk/news/nvidias-rtx-3080-and-3090-graphics-cards-are-leaked-with-pics-and-reported-specs Additionally, the leaked power requirements look concerning to me - new PSU and new cooling solution required? Quote And if you’re switching cases, you’ll probably also want to find time to upgrade your PSU too. The latest rumor, via Videocardz, is that while the RTX 3070 will draw a relatively modest 220W, the RTX 3080 and 3090 have a TGP (Total Graphics Power) of 320W and 350W, respectively. https://www.tomsguide.com/uk/news/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3000-series-cards-just-leaked-by-zotac I'm going to wait for AMD's 'Big Navi' GPU response before committing to a top-end card.
