September 2, 20205 yr I don't look forward to it at all .... It fix close to nothing other than install issues.

Much less erratic than the built in sensitivity curve. I'm looking forward to the patch so I can use SpadNext and attach all my panels again. 🙂 JoystickCurves...I had forgotten about that program. Great idea...I was planning on doing a similar thing with a flat curve to linearly scale the inputs down in FSUIPC after they got SimConnect fixed. I've learned about the joystick issue (plugging in a joystick during flight will often crash) but I still get them. I found that you can plug or unplug a joystick, as long as you hit the ESC button first, and ESC again to resume. Edited September 2, 20205 yr by Bert Pieke Bert

September 2, 20205 yr I am hoping the patch fixes my CTD issue. I can take off fine and sometimes land before I have a CTD. Non-functioning winds is just wind calm, meaning you can land in any direction, so it will not be adverse to your comfort to follow atc instructions. It's not like you are gonna have gale winds from that direction 😉 It's the newcomers that are gonna struggle the most. It will probably be a big barrier to entry until MSFS has sorted many of these things out (especially the autopilot things, like adding procedures, transitions etc flawlessly in the garmins. Right now its hit or miss whether it will stick or not, and you cant really do direct to any part of the procedure fixes. Cant you just imagine it now. Little Billy Pilot is trying vatsim for the first time. He has even read a little bit about it before logging in, and he has filed a flightplan. Already at Ground he gets stomped when he hears "qnh 1002" and looks at his baro settings in inches of mercury and not sure what to do. Of course, the solution is just to parrot back 1002, and press B to correctly set the pressure in your sim. I disagree with your opinion on newcomers and barriers of entry to the sim. If a newcomer is truly new to aviation as a whole, what they don't know or are just learning can't be a barrier to entry. It's like......"ignorance is bliss." So to speak. Quite the oposite. But using the sim on vatsim definately is going to be. They will tolerate newcomers, but you cant go about it willy nilly in there or someone is gonna talk to you. It is going to solve all my sensitivity issues without having to mess around with cfg files of the sim. You should put this into the tips and tricks section.
