Now that is just not true! They at least got the knob and color correct! 😜

If they gave it a few more tweaks and fixes I might just give it a go.

The main concern for me at the moment is the internal engine sound.  It sounds terrible on the youtube reviews and would annoy me on a longer flight.

I know it has a turbo, but does anyone know if it actually sounds like this in the real aircraft?

I may get it if they add synthetic vision and airport diagrams in their g1000 like the default one in MSFS's C172.

I bet some propeller head will find a way to drop the default Asobo one in! 😄

My first purchase in MSFS which I regret. Should have known better because I had a longer pause purchasing/using Caranedo a/c. I wanted to give them a new chance, but they didn't earn it.

The Carenado plane actually uses the Asobo G1000, just with SVS turned off..

If you get the G1000 Community mods package, you can select SVS in the C182.  Personally, I prefer it off..

Excellent! 👍  I will try to find a youtube review of the new version and have a listen.  

PS.  I just noticed a comment in another link... 'I have to admit, now it sounds more like a 182 with the growl. Much better than the first attempt.'

So that is probably enough for me to give it a go.

I wish they had an analogue gauge version , must be easier to produce glass cockpits ....

I didn't notice any sound difference. Exterior view still sounds like a landscaper outside my apartment with a weedwacker and the interior has a weird echo chamber effect. 

I found a nice recent video of a C182T test flight.  It does sound very similar to how the Carenado model sounds actually. 

I didn't like the sounds to start with, as they are so different from the default C172.  Maybe its the turbo, but it does actually sound a bit 'toppy' and a bit 'echoey'.  So if it is authentic, then fair enough!

With the G1000 mod added, it is easy to turn the screen brightness up by 'Menu' then 'FMS' knob lower right.  Synthetic vision can be turned off also.  Amazing how the community is working on these adjustments so quickly. 👍

After watching this video, I really wanted to go fly the thing, from this exact location as well. 😀

Yes, I think they are in there if you zoom in enough on the right hand display.  I will try it again later.

Just had a good flight in the 182 from Tokyo Intl to Mt. Fuji.  Was going to land on Mt. Fuji but had a CTD!  Like the plane though!

Carenado basically reuses the Asobo C172 G1000 for their C182T.... Even shows VAC for the engine readout, instead of the correct TIT.
