Family: why is our internet so slow today?

Me: No idea but I'll check.

ROFLOL...

Actually I think the Asobo server is getting hammered, been running for nearly half an hour now and probably less than 10% of the patch has come down.

Going to leave it while we watch a movie, hopefully it will be done before bedtime. If not, let's hope it supports resume!

Downloading now, was up to 10.5GB out of 15.69, went to make a cuppa and when I came back 5 minutes later it was only on 9GB, seemed to have dropped back by about 1.5 GB which is a bit concerning?

Quit the updater

Run CMD as Administrator and run:

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal

Then restart the updater again.

See if that helps

I restarted the update, now it is downloading much more faster, thank you.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

That would be correct on the ground. Check it inflight.

Downloading, then i got this message.

"DEBUG: $$: Something went wrong with the Download, see 458"

Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."

I got 1.8.3.0 but still no Baron altitude knob.

Worked fine here

Then it must be my machine. Oh, well new computer time when Vermeer comes out.

Download is a bit slow here; off to roast a chicken and read War and Peace whilst it completes. 🤣

Ryzen 7 3800x 32GB  3600mhz with RTX 2080ti @ 3440x1440p. I am still CPU limited by the mainthread but this is the result I got with my normal settings

KSFO on runway/cockpit view :

  • C172 Steam gauges : 50fps
  • A320Neo : ~40-43fps with refresh rate to low
  • 787 Dreamliner :  ~ 37-39fps  with fresh rate to low (big gain on that one). I did a takeoff and I was still above 30fps but that's without any flightplan. I need to test more.
  • 747-8 :  ~38fps
  • Citation Longitude : ~44fps

Base on these result. I can see that now it's actually possible to fly airliners above 30fps if you have the system that can handle it. It wasn't the case before. So they did a good job with the display refresh rate. I would set it to low.
