September 24, 20205 yr Going to be a supply and demand issue for those cards also even at twice the price of a 3080? Asking for a friend.... September 24, 20205 yr There is certainly going to be a demand. Not only is this the top-end card that many people will want no matter the price premium, but it is also the replacement of the TITAN RTX which means this card will be essential for content creators, 3D rendering, AI workloads and so on. NVIDIA have already confirmed publicly that supply is going to be very low at launch.
September 24, 20205 yr There is no GTX 3090, the correct name is RTX 3090 MSFS. September 24, 20205 yr I managed to pick up 2 here in the U.K. Seems easier than the 3080, however I’m still not sure I’ll keep it. Seems like the 3080 will win with 20gb ram.
September 24, 20205 yr At the moment I doubt i'm gonna buy a 3090 as it only offers a little difference gaming performance to a card half the price. I'm gonna hold off for a bit to see the pricing on the 20GB 3080 option. How funny it was that I was so convinced that I was gonna get one thinking it would offer at least the same difference in performance between the 2080 vs 2080ti......reality seemed to serve me a surprise. I don't know if I can wait LOL! 😁 Edited September 24, 20205 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I don't know if I can wait LOL! 😁 You can wait forever, I was going to order a new PC 2 years ago, then I heard the 20XX Supers were coming, was waiting, then heard the 10900k were coming, then just I was going to buy the 3000 where coming, you have to pull the trigger at some point or you will wait forever. The 3080 was my trigger. Order in sig. My plan as always is order the most I can afford and 3 years later order a new GFX so 3 years it will be 4000? but am sure a 3080 and 1080x1920 will be fine for another 3 years then a new card and upto 4k. What ever you buy a better one is just around the corner. A carrot on a stick.....Dog chasing its tail....on it goes. If you wait long enough you can get a 32GB VRAM card it will never end. Also 4k is different to 1080. Edited September 24, 20205 yr by Nyxx David Murden.
