Dont need to re-read I got it the first time . I’ll use that same word “PersonaIly “ I had been following the development of FS2020 like many here from the beginning. hear me out now . When the preorder option was available i went ahead full steam and got the Deluxe deal . Trust me the minute I did that i knew i just made a 50/50 mistake but i was fully aware of it . When the Release was announced it was that moment i knew I actually F UP because there was no way this was gona be ready. So again I personally don’t feel like i was lied to or cheated or any other word that you would like to throw in the mix . I had been around since FS95 I know what to expect when the words “ Microsoft “ and “ “flight simulator “ are mixed in a announcement. nothing personal against you or anyone here we just riding the same bumpy flight ✈️ In different parts of the plane . I've made a flight in the Greater Tokyo region yesterday which I had similarly done in all legacy sims and with all addons I could get. Nothing came even close to the feeling I had during that flight in MSFS. I see absolutely no need to shelf it, just to the contrary, I see MSFS as the future of flight simulation for the next years, and it's a future beginning right now, despite some teething troubles which are there, no doubt. If there are issues, I help ironing them out via Zendesk reports and forums. I've done this in the alpha and I intend to continue to do so. Kind regards, Michael Well, you have the correct attitude for the current state of the sim... But for other that want a deeper IFR/ILS experience at High altitude in a Heavy it's apparently not. My post was again geared to those who constantly put themselves in the situation of trying to fly in up to the minute accurate weather with full working FMC and AP and ILS/IFR functionality and are constantly frustrated when it bugs out or gets broken in another update... I don't fly Heavies, IFR or use the G1000, for ILS approaches, and don't care if the weather is 100% accurate. I fly this for what it is at the moment; a beautiful VFR low altitude GA sim. I can easily wait till next year to get into the Heavies, IFR, G1000 functionality and accurate weather... In the meantime, if I want the later, I just fire up P3D with AS and fly my PMDG NGX or my Citation Mustang with it's beautiful glass G1000 pit! Chris Camp

Yes, but surely those other sims were not capable of all that they are now capable of within 4-6 weeks after release, so comparing MSFS now to a sim that has had 10 years of development with add-ons galore is totally unrealistic and shows a certain lack of understanding by those that do so? Christopher, I've used FSX/P3D for decades now to the tune of 24h/week probably, and right now if I were to have to discard one, it would be P3D, not MSFS. I'm having virtually no problems w/ its current state. If I was just now starting to use any sim, it would absolutely be MSFS. The degree of knowledge, the hundreds of $$ of 3rd party content required to get P3D half ways decent, and the literally hours and upon hours of install, setup and configuration time required to get P3D working well, it's an absolute no brainer for me. I continue to use P3D and enjoy it exclusively for dusk to night flights in the PMDG stuff where the outside world doesn't matter so much and performance demands can be masked by not needing shadows, LOD distance, etc. In fact, if my current install become irretrievably corrupted, I'd likely not bother to go thru what it takes to restore it to its current state. So no, not sensible and realistic from my perspective. October 4, 20205 yr Author Today was finally almost able to fly a three hour flight with the TBM930 from Tehran to Larnaca. Had the dolphin dance while at 31,000 and had to descent to 19,000 feet to make it stop. When I landed in Larnaca and exited to menu I noticed that FS just had logged one hour out of my 3 hours of flight... I was not a happy camper. I didn't exited the sim during flight and it was continuous flying from engine start to stop yet still FS had stopped logging my flight from 1/3 of the way. Had live weather with the continuous thunderstorm bug all the way which was very much immersion breaking. This patch is so full of flight breaking bugs that I am officially done with the sim until they are fixed.

This appeared for me w/ patch 3 and it seems to only occur when there is abrupt change in climb rate, for example when reaching the preset altitude and the rate of change is too much, and since noticing this it has almost completely disappeared. Of the now 48h of use 95% has been in the TBM and I've seen only one couple hour flight similar to yours where it was frequent lightening strikes, and the rest of weather behavior has been marvelous. October 4, 20205 yr So, as time passes Asobo now tells us more and more the sim was made primary made for visual experience. It would have been better if they told it from the start. It`s likely because the focus in earnings was primary point and I defenately think there are many people who have bought it and regret it. There is nothing like best in-game graphics with legacy physics. They tweaked the parameters of the jet airliners and created a GTA game. I`m just thinking if they are serious watching this. I personally regret having had so much excitement after the anouncement on 2019. To be honest, it`s a little funny to read all the mistakes that happen, the complaints, the errors and now the developers changing their official standpoint.

October 4, 20205 yr The sim is buggy and incomplete but I’m still very glad they released it so I can experience it. It’s going to be a marvel when it’s fully realized in a year or two. I just hope the devs don’t cut development on it and move on to something else but I’m assuming with MS at the helm that that won’t happen. We just need some real study level aircraft and I’ll be very happy. A torquesim sr22 and an a2a 172 please because the default planes are poop.
