You're so right. Google Earth implanters everywhere. You can tell their work because it's weirdly blue and looks slightly melted. There are some great 3D Model makers operating, however. Thank goodness. To the OP - you're right! it's impossible to fly anything bigger than a paper aeroplane in this sim. (Wait, I just need to nose down here (80 NM out) for the STAR for Gatwick - TIMBA4B - for ILS 26L - looks like we'll be CATIII and on the paperwork charts just to make sure - and I'll be right back with you) to talk about your VFR Only Sim problem. Oh yeah, the graphics are awful too aren't they? Edited October 15, 20205 yr by Will Fly For Cheese

I have a process for doing post-production to screenshots in flightism that I've refined over 18 years here. I use Paintshop Pro's sharpening tool to counteract the detail loss heavy jpeg compression adds to the screen. Then use its jpeg optimizer tool to finalize the pic. My screenshots are typically under 250k at the end of processing. At full screen, uncompressed, they were around 35mb! I think they look pretty good for under 250k. (I try my best to be respectful of people's bandwidth, which is why you can scroll down 10 of my pics and not see any re-drawing...unless your internet is unbearable slow). @Noel can attest. 😉 I can assure you that these screens are a pretty accurate representation of what I see on my screen (not over-processed...in fact a little worse than what I see when simming...truth-be-known)....I hope everyone's sim looks this good....I've done little to make it look like this other than using Nvidia's tools to tweak the sim....works great! EDIT: Here is the pic you just posted. Here is what I did: Its a screenshot of a screenshot....so pretty bad quality....so hit Sharpen twice Cropped it to focus on the subject...leaving the sun spot for effect, but getting rid of the redundant clouds Did not to resize as it was pretty small compared to what I'm used to working with The ghastly blue tint that you don't really notice until you can easily snap color-correction filters in front of it (thanks PSP), and see the difference. Used a very slight warming effect Added the border (very important to make your screen appear separate from the web page its on.) Use the jpeg optimization tool to get it under 200k. viola' Edited October 15, 20205 yr by Steve Dra Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here

October 15, 20205 yr Commercial Member Since its screenshot fest i thought i'd post a few of mine. Of course, its from an awfully buggy flight, with many CTD's and always on the verge of reinstalling P3d...
October 15, 20205 yr Rob, yes, agreed but. . . MSFS is the future of hard core simming. There's no doubt about it. P3D can go back to being a defence solution - which is why LM bought it originally. UK RAF F-35 pilots are initially trained using P3D Sims. I've deployed P3D for commercial customers - they're delighted with it. They now all want MSFS - for the scenery. I've told them, so far, it's not possible because flight modelling has yet to resolve. But, resolve it will. Give it eighteen months and we'll not be looking over our shoulders. Unless, of course P3D does something extraordinary - like the equivalent of what MSFS has done with Bing, using Google. Then I'll take another look.

I tried to post a review on Steam a while ago but for some reason it got rejected. On further investigation seems it needed a title but I couldn't for the life of me find the entry field. One slight irritant with Steam reviews too is that you have to give a positive or negative rating, there's no option for neutral which is where I am right now with the title.

Compare to other titles like "Baldur's Gate 3" released just 9 days ago at 16,264 reviews of "Very Positive" 86% which was released as "Early Access". Its because you cant shoot anything or crash into anything with graphic results. 🙂 A lot of that crowd has already moved on, will never launch MSFS again unless they want to show new friends their house (and try to crash into it).🤣 Sadly, our community will settle, like it always does....not much you can add to pull the shoot-em-up genre back after they already realize they can't go GTA in MSFS or walk up to a monster and graphically disembowel him. Completely agree about the Early Access. They would have about 90% LESS of the current angst they currently have if they put that little phrase "Early Access" somewhere in the tag line, title, marketing shots, etc. This was NOT a 1.0 release, but I'm cool with that, knew it wasn't, and enjoying my Early Access in the mean time. 🙂 Its like when I go duck hunting, and its "Wabbit" season. Whatever I shoot, it'll taste like chicken anyway. 😁 Call it what ever, I'm still likin' it. Yes, but whats different this time is MS will have a share on every addons from there marketplace, wich means that in 2 or 3 years, when the player pool has reduced to say, 150 or 200K, there will still be an interest for MS to have a reduced team keeping the project and the sim fresh and bug free.

Compare to other titles like "Baldur's Gate 3" released just 9 days ago at 16,264 reviews The niche for RPG's is an order of magnitude larger than Flight simulator. Let's do some real comparisons against some of MSFS 2020's peers. XPlane 11: 8,400 reviews, Released on Steam March 30, 2017 FSX Steam Edition: 16,352 reviews. Released on Steam: Dec 18, 2014: Aerofly FS2: 1,486 Reviews: Released on Steam: Nov. 20, 2017: MSFS 2020: 14,487 reviews: Released on Steam: Aug 17,2020. You're discouraged by the fact that MSFS has generated 88% of the reviews in approx 8 weeks that it took FSX steam edition to generate in nearly 6 years? Or that FS2020 has generated over 1.7 TIMES the number of reviews in 8 weeks that XPlane 11 has taken over 3 years to generate. Not really seeing what there is to be concerned about here.
