of course I will.  I have never owned FSL and won't.  PMDG I put up with only because I'm weak, and they (and y'all) effectively chase away anyone else who tries to do the same aircraft.  If someone would do an aerosoft/QW level 737/777/747, I will drop PMDG like yesterday's news.  Now, if I don't have suitable mid-complexity airliners and prop-liners in a year, I'll be disappointed, sure.  On this forum, your hardcore airliner demands might be catered to, but do not for a minute imagine that what absolutely everybody wants from this is intense study level airliners and nothing else.

Captain Sim have gone VERY quiet. I like their stuff a lot. Especially the 737-200.

I really hope they're burning the midnight oil.

At this time for me, MSFS is only a "Cessna 172 VFR simulator" and a nice scenery tool to view the earth from above by setting dev camera on and using the XBOX controller to span around.

Hopefully, it will be a good flight simulator at some point in time, but it will take a long time, I am afraid.

Now, 2 months after its release, the "simulator" has not shown any real improvements or bug fixes.

MS/ASOBO's priority is probably to get it working and released for XBOX now, and not to do improvements and bug fixes.

Sigh.   Go look up the 2 month mark on P3d or FSX, report back.  Take your time.....not really interested in what you find honestly anyway.   But that's part of your agenda, so, have at it!....at least you won't be losing any time simming as you're waiting for MS/AS to get back into improving the desktop version as its perfectly clear they've dropped everything to get in on the cash cow that is xBox.

Given I own a Cessna 172 hardware panel plus all Saitek Cessna gear and I enjoy flying VFR flying this is my dream come true right now.

Kind regards, Michael

@pmb how dare you enjoy this "Cessna 172 VFR simulator"!   Who gave you permission to enjoy this "Screenshot generation" simulator?

I kinda' find it incredulous that we have amazing scenery to look at, default planes that are world's better than the KRAP planes we got in every previous sim, people complain that the what?.....the scenery looks TOO good?

Default Disney:   Looks TOO good!

Yep, gonna stop flying this screenshot generator....its just TOO good for me. 😞

Sorry to all those with issues with this sim.....I try to feel empathy for you....but really hard to when I look at my sim, fly in my sim....and enjoy my sim.

Maybe we should talk about what we'll have for dinner tonight...

I LOVE their c130,  now the default c130 in p3d.  had a real early version of the 757, and the 727.  have been looking at the newer 767, but it has PMDG pricing disease, and my p3d flying is few and far between any more.  If they make their stuff for msfs, I will be thrilled, but they have always been quiet, and they've always been slow

Hehe....not the venue for it....but CS has their own pricing agenda....like charging $30 for the most popular engine choice, purposely putting the less-popular on the base model so you almost have to cough up the extra $30 if you want your engine....what's that all about? And doing a $134.99 then $99.67 stunt in their e-commerce page?  What in the heck is that? (don't answer...not the venue....just didn't want any misconceptions about pricing methodologies between Commercial Devs) 🙂

Perhaps you weren't born yet, but when I first started with MSFS, it was only a "Cessna 182 IFR simulator" because our computer hardware was incapable of generating the level of detail required for VFR.  I consider a VFR simulator to be quite an upgrade.

Freeware modders are already around halfway done with ripping all of Google Earth and putting it on flightsim.to

They'll probably never colour correct it properly though.

Relax, we're on the ground. Handbrake's on. The "farm" is a corner of Gatwick Cargo area.

I still can't get used to how high the cockpit of the 747 feels.

Even more mind blowing when you see these things in vr, and can actually feel the height....

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

Yes.  I have an older Oculus Rift and Aerofly's FS2 blew me away as far as potential goes, and they were just scratching the surface, using basically just satellite imagery with out a lot 3d objects.

The current VR headset they are certifying against is a bit pricey and I'm still wondering how they are going get around the knobs and buttons issues in the cockpit.  That was the real immersion killer in AF FS2.  It was very weird to move a disembodied hand around the cockpit and such.  And flying a "virtual" yoke was almost impossible.

Perhaps we'll see a new set of VR props that have no real "inputs" but are just used to put your hands on something, like a yoke or throttle assembly so that the VR headset can track your hand movements correctly.  They wouldn't even need to have any labelling as you would be "under the hood" the entire time.  They would just be there to put your hands in the proper location to manipulate controls virtually.  The actual VR handsets would be responsible for providing the inputs to the computer.

I've played Elite Dangerous in VR and it is mind blowing.  I can't wait to see what MSFS 202 becomes.

Definitely the future CWC. Can't wait. Can't afford at the mo but will do.
