October 16, 20205 yr Moderator FS Labs have finally announced that the “unpaused” 64-bit Concorde will be developed for LM P3D v4 and v5. It is extremely welcome news that v4 will have a version as that is still used by many of us. No release dates but this announcement will be welcomed by all those who have been waiting patiently. The announcement is included in this Airbus update post.. https://forums.flightsimlabs.com/index.php?/topic/27106-a319-x-a320-x-a321-x-update-v501114-now-available/ Edited October 16, 20205 yr by Ray Proudfoot Link to statement added. October 16, 20205 yr Sad for me they have droped the Win7 support. I tried to make my P3Dv4 coexist on both my Win7 and Win10 system, but with too many add-ons installed on Win7, I can't even get it running on Win10 even after reinstall and reactive on win10 into the same folder..... I'll stick with Win7+P3Dv4, with a mixed version of FSL bird to use it's new PBR model with old win7 compatible dlls.... I think I'll wait for v5.1 and see if that worth to rebuild another platform on win10 then

October 16, 20205 yr I hope it comes with some sort of co-pilots like the PMDG DC6 , as it is just to much to handle single pilot alone. Now with the FSL A3XX they should really focus on the A350 :-) Thats were the diamond lies 😃 Michael Moe Michael Moe

The 32-bit version had plenty of options to assist with the 3-man workload. Most useful was the virtual Flight Engineer who would handle fuel management during the different phases of flight. But I derived great satisfaction in learning to do that myself. It gives you something to do throughout the flight. Remember, Concorde rarely cruised at a fixed altitude with the exception being when it reached FL600 on the Barbados hop. It climbed at Mach 2 until it was time to slow down and go down. Navigation is pretty simple. The INS handles lateral navigation and as for vertical aspect the throttles remain fully forward with the AFCS adjusting pitch to maintain Mach 2. About as far away from an Airbus or Boeing as you can get. Ray (Cheshire, England). October 16, 20205 yr An A350 would be in fact starting a whole new project from scratch. That’s how different it is to the 19/ 20 series. Chances are, your grandchildren would probably be the ones witnessing its release.... The 330 on the other hand is a logical continuation of the current line and there are still quite a few of them around, so it makes sense also commercially as the community tends to shun inactive frames like the 340. Id be amazed if the mysterious A3xx is anything other than the 330.
October 16, 20205 yr I'll be on the Concorde on day one. It will be interesting to see what improvements are made systems-wise. My only beef with the original was the out dated VC graphics which, while great on release, could not cut it as technology advanced. Edited October 16, 20205 yr by DavidP David Porrett
October 16, 20205 yr Author Moderator @DavidP, heavily compromised to keep VAS usage as low as possible. I would imagine they’ll be transformed. I wonder how the FE panel will be presented. Lots of 2D panels made it very accessible but the purist may prefer a single navigable virtual one. Ray (Cheshire, England). October 16, 20205 yr I love all your comments and suggestions but i do still think an FSL A350/380 would/will have better sales numbers. Sometimes its just love and passion for the end product and thats just some to admire. Michael Moe Michael Moe

Big problem would be the development time - I expect especially the 350 to be one complicated beast. Too many aircraft, not enough time. David Porrett
October 16, 20205 yr Thanks for the link. Very good news. Interesting paragraph at the end where they discuss MSFS 2020. I was unaware they were even considering developing for this simulator. Although they have a wait and see approach, this would still be wild to have FSL aircraft in MSFS 2020 someday.
