Just a beautiful freeware airport nestled in the Tryol province of Italy,  with three different high tension power transmission lines spanning the valley on approach.  Too much fun!

Links and .FPN in the video description.

Sure not for the faint-hearted in real life...

Flown that route several times. Very enjoyable challenge.

That looks perfectly safe..... LOL

thx for the hint about Locher Airfield in MSFS!

But do not approach as in the video above! Do NOT FLY BELOW any of the cables!

A real life guide could be seen here:

At first It looked to me that the scenery must have been wrong, no way these powerlines would be in the approach path of any airport. That would be totally unsafe. Either the airport or the powerlines would have been removed in reality. Also, no one in his right mind would put an airstrip there. That's until I watched a real-life approach to the airport on Youtube.
Asobo really did quite a good job on it, and another lesson for the "this must be wrong in the simulator because it can't be real" crowd.

The guy who flies his PC12 from the real airfield always flies these ladies to various vacation spots. I guess I'm in the wrong profession.🤥

Right now, somebody is taking a 320 to that airport.  LOL!!!!

Oh, and there are two versions of this airport at Flightsim.to

Be sure to choose the right one with ICAO LOCH

This one looks so much better than the one I previously downloaded. Will definitely get it

Great to see this... @Dimus did a FANTASTIC rendition of Locher for P3D and it was great fun flying the approaches then... glad to see it in the new sim!  I just flew it in MSFS and it was WONDERFUL- really captured the spirit of the field and its environs- thanks for the pointer @guenseli I got this one- not the other.

If anyone is interested, here's the old flight from years back in P3D. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php/107564-Dimus-Locher-in-the-Real-Air-Scout-FANTASTIC-SCENERY! and not unusually the aircraft I chose was one of @robert young and Sean's. Just looking at that old thread reminded me of how far the sim scenery has come... amazing. Now, hopefully the rest will follow suit.

I cannot get this to work..put the folder in Community folder...go into sim and select LOCH and it shows up as airport dot on map,,,,,,,,,,but when I select Depart the small FLY window grays out and the airport dot vanishes.
