The rest is kind of a mess with all of the bugs, lack of add-ons, pathetic SDK. Nice to see you poping up from time to time to reward us with your great knowledge and wisdom.

The GTX 1070 is probably the most limiting factor compared to your 10700K, but you might want to review and try the following suggestions: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/my-2070-super-4k-settings-and-suggestions-episode-2/272854 Absolutely no doubt about my 1070 as a limiting factor, hence the 30 fps lock. That Los Angeles flight is my go to for giving MSFS 2020 a hard core workout. I too get smooth performance flying other places, but that's not really demonstrating much of value IMO. I guess one can argue that forcing the sim engine to run slower causes it to run poorly. But if that were the case why should I ever get smooth performance? I'd think that a lower frame rate, if anything, should give the sim more time to complete its compute tasks before the next frame update needs it, rather than choke it...but what do I know... October 31, 20205 yr It's the weekend so I have some time to mess around with the sim. Took the TBM 930 for a spin and....word of warning. If you have set the metric system, the AP is completely messed up. No way to properly set ALT and VS. I reverted it back to US system and all is fine again. Yet another Zendesk report and demonstration of abysmal QC by Asobo 🤪
October 31, 20205 yr Seriously not feeling the love for this latest update. In addition to previously mentioned items I am now also getting severe mouse stick and lag when trying to move it round the cockpit. Add that to the input knobs spinning on by themselves after you click them, the A320 numerous issues, the Tron like night lighting and the whole thing is becoming a bit of a disaster. Well there is the modded A320 which breaks every time Asobo update the code. However it is still subject to the basic core code of the sim. Other than that, several months into release there is still precious little in the way of alternative jet airliners, payware or freeware, other than what ships in the box.
November 1, 20205 yr The Flybywire A320 has so far been fixed within a few hours of a patch release, never morethan 24 hours, you should try it.
November 1, 20205 yr quick question on updating msfs etc, since you are suppose to remove any mods from your community folder, and since you dont know if there is a update till you run the sim and there is a update waiting. Can you remove the contents from the community folder to another whilst you have the sim running? You can goto the MS store like I did this morning to DL the patch without opening the sim. Yes remove all mods before an update. Moving them out as the sim is running sounds a bad idea. I also have a short cut to my community folder and a back up folder with all mods. I only ever have the mods I need for the flight I am going to do, so anything I am not going to use is not loaded. Apart from addon airports I never move them out of the community folder. Edited November 1, 20205 yr by Nyxx David Murden. Can you remove the contents from the community folder to another whilst you have the sim running? I just rename it to "Community.off" and make an empty one called "Community". It's a matter of seconds. BTW, I have a Community folder full of tons of addons but never had it offending MSFS when I renamed it back to "Community". Granted, it's nearly all sceneries which seem to be less offending. If I am notified of an update after launching MSFS, I simply change to windowed mode (ALT - Enter) and click the red X in the top right corner. That closes MSFS and I can then go and take care of the community folder (I use the AddonsLinker app. Very easy to use). I then restart MSFS and let it do the update. Once done, I check all the options and settings, then do a quick flight with all defaults (nothing in Community folder). If all ok, I quit MSFS and add the addons I want to use back to the Community folder.
