List your Top 5 Payware Airports

Featured Replies

My Top 5 so far (in no particular preference):

PAKT (simmarket)
CYLW
ENVA
KORD
TNCM (simmarket)

AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram

I cannot comment on this because No Australian airports are really credible.  I only fly in Australia therefore I feel that, generic buildings on airports generally do not cut the mustard unfortunately,

Sydney (with the freeware addon cityscape) comes close as does Melbourne with its freeware addon. Everything else is ho hum average for Australia.

There is the YPKG freeware seems that OK though I have never been there to compare, and the Orbx Sydney addon but  yeah not much else. Newcastle and Wollongong are 3D by default so not bad.

Depending what you classify as "regional" there is also the new Rotorua freeware:

In terms of Payware for FS2020 I only own Key West, which looked nice and was a reasonable price.

For everything else there is flightsim.to. Given the talent out there, I suspect that within a year all the major and many small airports will have freeware versions.

There are some good freeware ones, but some of them are fairly inaccurate and yet some others use mostly default buildings which sort of defeats the purpose (using some default buildings is fine with me, but not all).

It takes too much labor for a developer to produce major international airports or even large regionals at the level of detail many prefer, the largest airports can take 500-1000 hours of labor, so I wouldn't expect that many large international or regionals, mainly bush or smaller GA airports from freeware. I mostly fly regional though.

I'm aware of those airports, there are exceptions, but one of those airports has some issues as well. I've flown in 2 of the 3. I prefer a little more detailed texturing to be honest, but Oslo is pretty good.
