AIG AI Manager OCI for MSFS – Development Announcement

Featured Replies

I followed all the step to install the AIG traffic I have some problems.

1. AI traffic in game do not have the engine sound, all the AI traffic just like muted as ghost, also all the AI traffic only spawned  at the gate and taxi out

2. I never saw any traffic spawned in midair cruising and approach. So all the airport only have departure traffic without approach traffic.

3. There is still the AI altitude bug on Asobo's side that needs to be addressed.

4. I still need to know about the Addon linker option instead of dropping the liveries folder directly into the community folder.

The altitude bug is Asobo, as are most of the AI problems. I moved the main AIG folder that’s in Community to a different drive using addon linker and no problems, didn’t have to change anything in the program.

I have a question regarding the traffic.

Why is TC even required????

Why can't AIG just compile a trafficAircraft.bgl file to replace the default one in the sim and then all we have to select is offline traffic within MSFS. I think that would root out a lot of the problems right there. Why must AIG inject traffic when it could simply have a traffic file that MSFS reads natively? Please explain what I'm missing.

The injected AIGFP allow for more options than the normal bgl traffic plans. Don't ask me exactly what, I'm not sure, that's just what the site says.

I saw that the program had create a folder in the main map of my game (Steam), it was called something like #PC# and seemed to contain aircraft models, I have not read anywhere that the program shall create this folder? can I remove it without risk in the event of an uninstallation?

That's a workaround to stop the MS Store version of the sim from crashing from too many legacy MDL models. The sim doesn't cache them correctly on its own and it causes crashes. that folder would exist either way without AIM. If you delete it the sim will just create it again.

Kai included the Steam version of directory as well just in case that bug migrated over to Steam in a future update, but as of right now it doesn't effect Steam.

The altitude bug is a show stopper at 100% slider, it's absolutely unbearable. Will dial that down to 75% or less. My lord. I wonder if that is what is killing my connections to the ATC Azure server. I turned off the Azure ATC today and using the Windows voices and all is good. I wonder if their servers are simply not handling these requests/load?

Assuming Addon Linker works the way I think it works (symlinks?) it should work fine. Just make sure you have the addon enabled when you go to update/download new flight plans from AIM or use the TC.

Well the altitude bug doesn't effect Online traffic, so you're good there. It only effects offline.

1. You did something wrong, sounds are included. Please check the sound folder in the community\aig-oci-beta folder, if it's empty, there's your problem.

2. What do you mean you never "saw" it? Did you look at the map within TC? There you should see a lot of planes mid-air and landing, as soon as you inject traffic. This does, of course, depend on location and time of day. Over northern canada you will might see no other airplanes at all mid-air, over New York City you will see hundreds of them.
I certainly have seen many planes landing, even seconds after I injected traffic.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I injected for an hour it seems many traffic depart but do not spawn any traffic to land. Also I checked the sound folder inside the aig-oci-beta folder its empty.   Is there any things that I had done wrong ?

For Sound: Download the "AITRSP_v1.8.zip" from AIG. It might already be in your downloads folder, its about 456mb?. Place the zip file in "C:\ProgramData\AIGTech\AIGAIM\temp_model" Folder. Run the AIG AI Manager program. Find the "install from zip" button at the top of the page in the program (not sure which page it is, just look for it). Click on it, and then point to that zip file, OK. Sounds will be installed.

Is the update for Steam out today too?

Still chomping-at-the-bit for 767, DC10, MD11, to round out the UPS, FDX and other cargo fleets and the EMB135, 140, and 145's...oh also A340's. AIG is a great package in any case, and I really am happy to have access to so many great models/liveries/sounds!

Only problem I'm running into is that it seems that Manager is reinstalling almost all airlines whenever I do a verify setup. I did a verify last night and it installed liveries for 118 airlines (I have 172 flightplans installed) - took over 3 hours. I wanted to get the 747-400's today and verify is now installing 123 airlines. Are that many new/updated liveries available after only about 8 hours, or are my aircraft files being corrupted somehow?

I plan to make a very basic model matching file for my own demand this weekend but I think I'll share this file with others so everyone can extend it and make it better and more accurate and adjusted to everyone's very own needs.

For example Austrian Airlines: A319, A320, A321, DH8D, 777, and E195 are included in AIG's current version but the 767 is not.

In my .vmr file I plan to replace the currently missing 767 with the 777:

<ModelMatchRule CallsignPrefix="AUA" TypeCode="B767" ModelName="FLAi_TFS_B777-200GE........>

Having a 777 instead of a 767 is a better deal for me than having a completely generic aircraft instead of the missing one.

This is accurate enough for my needs at the moment and you can edit it easily when a B767 model is available at the OCI to get displayed 767s again instead of 777 😀

Just noticed I can't share my vmr file since it's using about 110 lines of FLAI (<!-- Mapping of an aircraft type without a matching callsign to a white/default version of that aircraft -->) 'cause if I'd "like to re-use or re-distribute this file, please contact Fly AI for permission first. Without express written permission from the Fly Ai Administration Team, this file may not be redistributed or shared. To suggest changes or request help using this file, please email us via the website."

And since there's just the statement from FLAI about FLAI decommissioning and no email address or contact form, there's no way to contact the administration team. 😥

Eh? There's only one version of the program, works for both platofrms.
