AIG AI Manager OCI for MSFS – Development Announcement

That's probably why I'm not getting any audio from the in-game ATC. I start the sim at a gate and so my plane is off in a cold and dark state. So I have to start the plane up in order to hear ATC while in drone mode?

I think you just have to turn the battery to on, but if you don't start the plane the battery will go dead.

The plane's radio needs to be powered to listen to the ATC yes.

Doesn't fix the AI though. Because the ATC thinks they're at the wrong altitude, they'll either never tell them to descend, or they'll tell them too late, then they'll approach airports too high and have to go around.

Is it because MSFS first spawns aircraft in at a certain altitude to begin no matter what altitude they would be at in real life at the point they reached the spawn radius?

You would think that when MSFS decides a flight is within the spawn radius, they would already have their appropriate altitude included with all the flight data they have on that flight and could spawn them in at the correct altitude match that data.

MS/Asobo really needs to prioritize AI now. Especially after SU7 (Reno Air Races Update). They need to do this before anything else. Especially now that AIG OCI is out and has shown us the potential of having real AI in the sim. It's amazing and MS/Asobo needs to get back on track with this to fully support the implementation of AI traffic.

Yep, no issue there apart from not having ANY outbound activities. That's the first thing I tested.

You were probably not tuned into the right frequency. AI uses ATC just like players, they even use it to call for pushback like players (which isn't realistic, but blame Asobo there)

No not at all. It seems to be similar to the bug players had after SU5 where ATC saw players at the wrong altitude even though it was correct.

According to Little Nav Map the AI is at the correct altitude, but the AI doesn't see it that way.

How long does it take for you guys to start up AIG Manager after installing all 1200+ flight plans? It's been almost 20 minutes now for me and I'm wondering if it's stuck loading or if it does take this long?

Did you run TC before or after the sim?

When auto inject is enabled I’ve noticed you need to run it after you’ve loaded the sim.

So then is it safe to launch TC first if you do the manual inject thing (not autoinject) once you're on the tarmac? This way, I could have Addon Linker (used for all my other mods) automatically launch it when I launch MSFS through it and then once I'm loaded and on the tarmac I hit Inject. Or is it still preferred even with manual inject to not launch TC itself until after the flight is loaded?

I was saying, my Asobo online traffic works with AIG plane matching, what didn't work for me was the outbound traffic. The planes are just standing there at their gates and land, no TO's at all. Does the outbound work for you?

I believe manual inject works yes.

Why are people messing with manual inject??  if you've checked auto-inject in the TC setup, once you load flight in sim, then start TC, it starts injecting automaticly. It doesn't always work if you start TC 1st. (I think sometimes that if you start TC 1st, it's sitting there waiting to connect to a slower starting sim, it (TC) times out and doesn't always hook up with the sim.

For me at huge airports I need to reduce traffic to <100% with the A32NX, or my FPS will go to the low twenties. Since I cannot do this once injection (auto-)started, I have to manually inject in those cases. (That last sentence sounds weird...)

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

About 5min on my side, maybe a little less, never measured it. But for sure way shorter than 20mins...

Thoroughly enjoyable experience, absolutely fantastic to see airports "Alive" with aircraft. Only downside is the FPS hit in VR, but a small price to pay for an outstanding mod, thanks AIG.

How much is the hit approximately?

This addon is fantastic. Just got it working today. Runs great on my older system even in 4k as per this short test video I made plane spotting in Dublin Airport. A big thank you to AIG. Can't wait for the updates and GA aircraft.
