After this, I hope they do FT Kaitak and Hong Kong and then OMDB

Come on FT! chop! Chop! LOL 🙂

There's already a payware Hong Kong City. I doubt we will ever see a FT version.

The one that is hard to fathom that there's no update is Tampa airport. No mention of it being updated at all anywhere.

Hong Kong City by SamScene is really good, I don't see a need to redo it. Another thing is Chek Lap Kok which is included as a "lite" version but certainly would benefit from a "full" rendition.

Kind regards, Michael

Maybe FlyTampa should change their name to FlyEverywhereButTampa.

When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

Yeah I saw the video of HK city done by SamScene, its pretty good. But Kai Tak airport is missing. The Freeware Kai Tak isn't that good. especially the apron and runway texture is so FS9

I agree. I would not be surprised if another mod pops up in the future. That airport is as iconic as Meigs.

Kinda' ironic huh?   I've flown in and out flown Tampa many times...very nice airport and surrounding scenery!  Clearwater and the tourist coastline is very well done in the sim....but KTPA needs a lot of work, even after the world update for the US.

In fact flying there now that I'm thinking of it. 🙂

I tried to get the Verticalsim dev to consider KTPA, but he said it will take a while because it's a lot of work.

BTW, his version of KPTA for XP is fantastic. Too bad I'm done with legacy sims.

Actually TNCM is in need.  'FlyTampa' with no Tampa International is another issue.  Hong Kong is a great but what I like about the area is freeware developers are expanding the area.  There's so many cool buildings and things to see in the surrounding cities.

Agreed!!!

Although, TNCM is already done nicely by an add-on developer and it's already out.. AIRWORTHY DESIGNS - SAINT MARTIN & GRAND CASE MSFS
I have it and it's excellent!... So not much need for another one I'm afraid.

The Grenadines however, would suit this sim beautifully in GA flying over the Caribbean should they redo that one for MSFS!

And trust me....MS/AS is doing just fine in comparison ...the 3rd party devs however...if you can put more money directly in their pocket...that is best way to help them stay around and they need support way more than MS/AS does.

I think these 3rd party developers will do better then ever. Ive never bought an ORBX product before, and I've been simming since the early 90s. I bought my first ORBX product yesterday, KBUR through the marketplace mainly because it is an airport I frequent and it was sitting there right in front of my face in the marketplace, all I had to do was click a button and it was installed.

I have a feeling these 3rd party developers will sell more then ever but the platform has to also be healthy because it is what everything is based on. The corporate world can be cruel, and I'm sure Asobo has lofty financial targets to hit and report back to Microsoft. The platform needs to be making as much $ as possible first and foremost, everything after that will be fine so I will support the platform where I can.
