December 19, 20205 yr CTD in climb on AP FLC HDG out of PDX heading to JAC with manual FP only DEP and ARR entered as VFR in the sim... 😞 Tried a second time with NO FP just manual in the FMSL: same thing 11k in the climb AP LNAV FLC = CTD. Something is broken. Edited December 19, 20205 yr by Flyfaster_MTN002 SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

All of the later ended in a CTD (although on one flight, I was literally powering down the aircraft at the destination parking area when it crashed). All of the former were completed successfully. December 20, 20205 yr @Flyfaster_MTN002 @odourboy and others: For us to be getting CTDs from a JS coded plane is definitely hugely unexpected and should not really be possible, in theory. It's clear that something we're doing is causing an existing sim bug to flare up for some people. We're trying to get Asobo some more data on this issue. For those people who are having pretty frequent CTDs, if I could ask for your good graces, if you're willing. I'd like to set up minidump crash reports so we can forward more stack traces to Asobo for analysis and we can all work through this issue together. Please DM me and we can work to set this up on your machine (it's quite easy to do) and then get these reports collected. With your help we can get this issue sorted and you all flying this plane again. -Matt

December 20, 20205 yr Hi Matt, I had my first crash in this aircraft in my first flight with v0.8.1. Crash was not too long after departure, route was KBUR - KLAS SLAPP2 MISEN KEPEC6. To load the game flight plan, go to FPLN RECALL and use the option to load the game plan. This will load your current MSFS plan into the FMC, and that is what will be flown. To have the FMC send its plan updates to the sim, updating the sim flight plan, enable FP SYNC in mod settings on the FMC. The plane will always fly what you see on the FMC, and the VFR map and MSFS ATC will always follow the sim's plan. -Matt Still getting the same issue I got before where I get the discontinuity. I forgot to mention I'm setting up my flight plans starting/ending at the ramp with full SID/STARS. Trying to post a screenshot but I don't see how to do it on this forum. Just to be clear, is your problem that there is a discontinuity? To clear a discontinuity in the LEGS page, you need to select the waypoint after the discontinuity, then click on the line select key next to the discontinuity, telling the FMC that you want to remove the discontinuity and direct connect the preceding waypoint with the selected waypoint. However, if the discontinuity is preceded by a vector, denoted by "(vect)" then you can't remove the discontinuity (this is by design), however if you want to remove the vector leg AND the discontinuity, you can select the waypoint after the discontinuity and then click on the line select key next to (vect) and this well remove both the (vect) and discontuniuty. Is this what you're trying and it isn't working? I ask because I just loaded up SBA-LAS with departures and arrivals on the world map, loaded into the plane, saw some discos and cleared them no problem... This video at 19:00 shows clearing a discontinuity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_h3R-TspUQ If this isn't working for you the best bet is to make a quick video (just hit alt-z and you can record straight from Nvidia overlay) and put it on youtube as an unlisted video and share the link with us, or drop into our discord (link in my sig) and someone can help you better than back and forth forum posts... 5800X3D | Radeon RX 6900XT
December 20, 20205 yr What you guys have done to the CJ4 is amazing, you should have your own parking spaces at MS HQ and a desk in the development team for the work you've provided, for free, to give the base MSFS such a boost ahead of the arrival of the big 3rd party devs 👌

December 20, 20205 yr Using Version 08.1 1. Generated a flight plan with the default MSFS flight planner. 2. Loaded up the plane 3. Message "no flight plan" on the PFD; and no flight plan in the FMC What am I missing? With version 0.8. the flight plan was loaded automatically. Thanks.

This is exactly what I am doing but Matt helped me with the issue. Seems I needed to delete the VECT fix in the flight plan. Now like others have reported I can't do a whole flight without a CTD. Mine usually after takeoff around 4,000ft. I emailed Matt about not being able to get a speed ticker setting on the PFD. The tool tip shows the speed I'm trying to put in on the ramp but it never shows up on the PFD. Not sure if this has something to do with putting in the VR speeds.
