Yep, though remember that as you double the resolution you quadruple the size, due to the law of squares. So there is a functional limit on just how fine a resolution you can get. 7 minutes ago, Carts85 said: Without before and after pictures there is very little to say for me. The meters in mesh resolution refer to the minimum distance between two points. All elevation variations below the minimum distance will be flattened out.

Thanks for the correction, I hate telling people wrong, 🙂 I was also looking for a resolution to LOD conversion table, since you often see mesh resolution quoted as LOD, but couldn't find anything.

January 3, 20215 yr Didn't Asobo change the Dem in the last update? As the Matterhorn mod doesn't blend at all (author is aware), so whilst these Dems maybe good for now what's to say they won't be screwed up after the next official patch? I guess the modders will have to update their mods after every official DEM update. That‘s why I refrain from buying mesh add-ons for now. The freeware one seems to be just as good as the payware add-on anyway. The Matterhorn problem is kind of funny. The photogrammetry one just floats on top of the other Matterhorn and I can fly under it. January 3, 20215 yr Is the default mesh in MFS2020 part of local installation or streamed from bing together with the textures? If it's streamed, I wonder why the resolution is so lonw, bing should have much more detailed mesh resolution. Edited January 3, 20215 yr by Steku
