January 28, 20215 yr This is probably going to sound a lot harsher than I mean it, but... Do the binnacles on the real thing have that terrible 1990s Chrysler-looking pebbly "fake leather" vinyl texture, or is that just a flaw in how it's modeled? Because that looks it's right out of a first-gen Neon. 🙂

I actually laughed out loud at that...I have friends who rocked a neon like that back in the day lol, good memories. They're broadly similar in terms of performance and range etc, with the Mooney perhaps edging it a little bit in some respects, so mostly it comes down to looks, because the roominess of the TB21 over the M20 in real life, has little bearing on the sim versions. In your sim for use in Air Hauler 2 however, where these specs can make a difference in their relative utility, here's how they compare: M20R: 177 knot cruise, 3368 MTOW, Cargo capacity 1078lbs, passengers 3, range 1030nm, cost £296,580 TB21: 167 knots cruise, 3086 MTOW, Cargo capacity 1323lbs, passengers 4, range 847nm, cost £268,206 So that makes the M20 a slightly faster courier plane for small loads, and with a better range, but for charter passenger flights, the Trinidad can take more passengers, or carry a fairly useful additional 245 lbs of cargo, albeit over a shorter distance and at a slightly lower speed, but we're only talking 10 knots slower, so it's really the range versus the payload which is the real decider between the two, because the acquisition prices are within 30 grand of one another and the monthly lease price difference is less than four grand, which is not really a factor in the long term, and the fuel consumption is broadly similar for the two. I'd say the TB21 edges it a bit in terms of utility in Air Hauler so long as you aren't doing really long range trips. There is another issue with the Lionheart TB21 by the way, but it won't bother most people, and that's the autopilot. It doesn't like connecting to the Logitech/Saitek hardware autopilot. The trim wheel works, as does the flap lever, but the autopilot functions are unavailable on the panel so you have to use the cockpit buttons or keyboard shortcuts. It's a bummer for me because I do use that panel, but it's not the end of the world, and it may yet be sorted too. What I'm about to say may seem ludicrous, but with the exception of the glow in the gps lighting, I'd say that this Trinidad is better than the Carenado Mooney in almost every way. The flight dynamics & sounds are amazingly that good. We all know that Carenado excels in the visuals department, but this bird does resemble the original just as Chock's pics illustrates. MSFS
January 28, 20215 yr I decided to give it a try and I bought it and I start regretting it... I payed, I have a download link and my registration code, but it doesn't work in the installer. Even though I enter the code, the NEXT button remains grey and I can't install it. I wrote an email to Bill, I'm sure he will reply quickly, but it is quite a strange problem. My Web Site

Would you mind giving me a heads up on this? January 28, 20215 yr Oh no! I was just about to purchase this tonight. I will wait now to see how they respond. I hope you guys get it sorted out alright! Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). January 28, 20215 yr That's very surprising. I copied and pasted my code entered my name and e-mail, chose location of my community folder and the installer worked without a hitch. Sorry for those that are having issues. I'm confident this will get sorted out. MSFS
January 28, 20215 yr Is the rudder trim really required for takeoff and climb phases liek in the real thing, or a good deal or right rudder pedal ? After the engine start and gauge back lighting issues are fixed with a few updates I might give this a shot. After doing some research this is the same company that designed the TBM we all love so that's points in my book as well (not to mention a class act developer). That same research had me finding out Cirrus and Diamond are both owned by China now (another topic for another forum). I believe Lionheart would have been better served with the Learjet out the gate but heck if this thing flies as good as people say, oh well. January 29, 20215 yr I was going to pick this up tonight but will wait to hear if those with installer issues get them sorted.
