Trinidad TB21 for MSFS

Featured Replies

As per product page:

BUILD 3.2, released Jan 30th, 2021
* Exterior View of Gauges Fixed
* Environment Occlusion Mesh installed to keep rain and snow out of cabin
* Blurry/hazy font on GPS units fixed, crisp and proper

BUILD 3.1, released Jan 29th, 2021
* Flashing A-pillars and B-pillars is fixed
* Faulty animations on Battery, Alternator, Lights-1, Lights-2, and Lights-3 knobs fixed; missing animation codes from revamp.  Fixed.
* Flashing glass on occassional angles to sun, mostly fixed, down to only the front interior plexi flashing now.

BUGS AND ISSUES:

* Presently Doors are inoperative.  This is a known Asobo issue and hopefully repaired soon.
* Flashing at front windscreen from exterior view only and certain angles to sun only.
* The instrument panel lights are 'always on' at night.  Asobo presently do not have a way to turn off 2D XML Instrumentation that feature light mapping.  Hopefully this will be updated soon in the simulator.
* You 'might' need to use Control-E for engine starts.  A bug that is industry wide is reporting starting issues on some addon planes with some computers.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

Here's a new pic with glow removed from the gps units:

I bought and installed this plane today. I was excited because I've flown in one before in real life and even handled the controls for a little bit. However, although the plane looks very nice, my FPS took a huge hit. I normally fly the Carenado Mooney M20R and get 30 FPS. Same everything, but flying the Trinidad, I got 17 FPS. Unusable.

@DJJose it looks a LOT better without that stupid glow. But I have to ask why LH didn't do that themselves before release, just smacks of a rushed release/port and doesn't inspire confidence in making a purchase.

What are your specs? It clearly states the known bugs as well as, high-end computer required. You could also send Bill and e-mail and hope for an optimized version. Having said that, this bird does have an effect on performance. FPS are lower on my system too.

Keep in mind that MSFS is still a WIP. I feel that MSFS was released in a beta state with a 10 year plan. We've already seen broken add-ons after MSFS updates, so I can conclude that there will be many more issues as ASOBO and third party devs create content and try to improve the sim.

It's highly unlikely that we will see a perfect release. We either deal with it, or stay away from MSFS payware add-ons.

I accept that MFS is still evolving without a complete and settled SDK, but that does not excuse the ridiculous and obnoxious glow from the GPS buttons. Or a non-functional engine starter. Nor the lack 3D gauges. Other developers have managed those just fine some time ago on MFS, so I don't believe there is a reasonable excuse for those issues, it's just a lack of conscientiousness. If a developer can't sort those basics out from the beginning, I have to question if they will sort other more complicated issues when updates to MFS allow.

I get it! But, you should also accept that this add-on will also evolve.

I'm confident that Bill will adapt and improve this TB21. He's already issued updates with more to come.

I watched one yesterday, she doesn't fly well, but has made a lot of flying vids..

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's

It appears she doesn't read the manual or product page. Overall a very nice review.

@Chock can you please make a video of the latest version of the TB21 and upload to your channel.

Thanks.

Aah, that video's alright. She's just doing a bit of a quick and dirty video, so not reading the manual is kind of forgivable. It's certainly a lot better flying than this occasion. What a collection of numpties these guys are:

I agree that she did a fairly good job. Are you seeing a slight performance hit with the latest version?

MSFS

Not really noticed a performance drop with it, of course I'm not one of those simmers who obsesses about the FPS counter, so it might be lower than it was in FPS, but it's still smooth and that's all that matters to me.

Thanks for posting that video Alan. I couldn't understand anything, but it seems like a good way to ruin a nice airplane. 😀
