February 5, 20215 yr I held off on the TB-21 in the end, and now I am glad. I won't reconsider until the issues mentioned above have been addressed, particularly frame rate, as I am on the edge of 30FPS with my 1080Ti anyway, so no point making it worse. I can also agree with the frame rates / performance listed above for the TBM, the Mooney, and the Piaggio - no significant performance hit, except the Mooney with the landing light and/or taxi light on does indeed cause a significant frame rate drop, even in daylight. I hope Carenado can trace that. Maybe it is the volumetric lighting. I can measure the performance drop easily and to the second when I flip the landing and taxi light switches, and with both lights on it is double! Without those lights on, just beacon, nav, and strobe, it is perfectly fine. what is the consensus on what is causing the TB-21 performance drop? is it Graphics or Instruments? Disregard, just saw Glenn's post - CPU bound - Instruments then? Edited February 5, 20215 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). February 5, 20215 yr Oh absolutely. That screenshot is clearly indicating that something is if perhaps not amiss, then something to consider. It's been my experience with numerous FS TB10s and TB20s that they all seemed to be a bit heavy on hardware requirements, including the Just Flight one, so to be honest I kind of expected it with this one. February 5, 20215 yr Commercial Member It could be that Bill is still using xml gauges rather than 3D ones. My guess, and thats only a guess, is that the 3D ones needs GPU power to draw the geo, when the XML ones needs CPU power because it is more "calculating" than it is drawing.

I doubt those textures are in 4096 resolution, this is just... mediocre? Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
February 5, 20215 yr New patch sorts a few more things out with the avionics and lets you mess about with the doors... FIXES AND REPAIRS (build 3.3): Autopilot bug concerning VS mode not always showing is repaired. Non functioning buttons on the panel labeled as dummy buttons so there is no confusion. Prop Tooltip Repaired Elevator Trim Dial direction incorrect, reset. Manual updates carried out, sections added on Autopilot VS management, and LH Pilots Instrument Pod layout. ENHANCEMENTS AND MODS: Doors now open! Dino Cattaneo technology installed, enabled to get around click-box-bug. Cargo Door release linked to red knob in cockpit; previously the Emergency Gear Release. Repurposed. Circuit Breaker button textures enhanced. Heading and Course nobs are now Asobo coded and feature click-hopping 10-deg increments as well as hold/clicking left and right. Faster then previous FSX animation coding. Proper plastic coating to interior door latches applied over former metal Material for authentic accuracy EXISTING BUGS: Avionics Switch Not Animating Heading Knob Not Rotating, I broke the animation... Heading knob moves VOR1 knob/instrument also, could be a sim issue, unknown presently Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
February 5, 20215 yr He is definitely putting in the hard yards fixing it, and even though some of this should have been addressed before release - at least he is sticking with it rather than just throwing it out there and moving on to the next shiny project.
February 5, 20215 yr Based on on my experience with Bill, since FS9, I felt that it would be highly unlikely that he would not improve this release. MSFS
February 5, 20215 yr A checklist has been released. I have not tried it yet. https://flightsim.to/file/7409/trinidad-tb-21-gt-in-game-chacklists Edited February 5, 20215 yr by DJJose MSFS
February 5, 20215 yr With the trial and error Bill is going through, I hope he can use his experience to get the Lionheart's Quest Kodiak out.
