Bonaire - First True to Life Animated People Airport Addon!

Featured Replies

I hadn't seen anyone discuss this but Aerosoft's newly released Bonaire airport has the most realistic passenger animations I have seen so far in MSFS or in any simulator. This airport truly comes to life inside and out with passengers disembarking and queuing inside the terminal etc. Makes a world of difference to the add-on and makes the suspension of disbelief more plausible. It looks like thet scanned real faces as well.

This is what we need more of to bring airports to life instead of being the empty stark places they often are in what has so far been released as payware for MSFS. I hope more developers do this. Now all we need is a decent A.I. aircraft program and GSX.

Nice...I wonder how it got the American Eagle model?  Was that a CRJ?

At a reasonable price!

MSFS

That looks great. If you could get the passengers actually coming through the Jetways that would be a cool little feature too.

Bought it right away.  It's a great add on.  For the record, I have no issue adding people in this manner when you can see them from your aircraft.  🙂

If I'm not mistaken they start at the terminal, then walk outside. Definetely a cool feature that other devs should embrace.

The entire island looks good:

MSFS

I bought this on day 1 and have already flown there. I would like to add, it's by Jo Erlend Sund, who's a class of his own.

No issue with performance at all although I should add I didn't fly through the terminal yet.😉

Pity is there are not too many excellent destination airports nearby (or I just don't know them)

Kind regards, Michael

I’ll have to give this a look.  In P3D I flew into neighbouring Aruba and Curaçao a lot (TropicalSim versions) but never bought a payware Bonaire as it had many fewer commercial flights.  Now that I’m flying a lot more GA though this looks like a great Caribbean destination.

Try island hopping from Aruba to Saint Martin. One of my favorite routes.  There is plenty of scenery available along the way!

MSFS and P3D allows human characters with more complex skeletal animations, but in GSX, while we updated several service people, like the marshallers or the various drivers, we left passengers using the more limited skeletons, for compatibility with FSX and P3D V3.

Of course, GSX for MSFS will feature passengers remade from scratch, using the new system, which we shown already in airport released months ago ( the tower guy at Key West ) and the latest Quiberon airport, which has a bit more of them:

Do you think once you complete a set of animated characters you could add some to your existing MSFS airports like KORD, Basel, Vancouver etc. as part of their aiport package (aside from GSX)? That would be awesome and really bring your already excellent airport addons to life.

I find in general MSFS airport addons a bit too sterile especially considering how great they look in terms of graphics. It makes my brain feel something is not right that it looks so real in the bricks and mortar but completely void of life or atmosphere with no passengers around (and of course no real A.I. traffic). It would be the cherry on the sunday!

Now if they could just make the disembarking passenger's a little less robotic this would be perfect!
