For people who are suffering performance Issue after Update3

cobalt,

OK, you have me stumped there.  I went into the content manager and selected the TBM930 .. got the blue tick, but I cannot find any way to delete it.  So I closed MSFS, went into my community folder and deleted the TBM 930 (4 instances)

I then got back into MSFS and I can still find them in the content manager. ????? I am obviously doing something incorrectly.  Any further advice please

cobalt,

Update

I found some more entries for the TBM in the Community folder.  Deleted all and then reloaded MSFS.  No TBM to be found in the Content manager.

Exited MSFS and reloaded the TBM entries.

MSFS content manager has found and installed them all.

Selected default TBM and fly.  Still the Wonder Woman environment.

If there is a way to delete these through the Content Manager which fixes the problem, then I plead with you to show me the way.

Thanks again mate

I am having terrible performance right now and I cannot figure it out. I have never had performance issues in MSFS.

I didn't change anything, just updated my Sim with the latest update.

Deleted the rolling cache and I can barely stay above 15FPS and normally at 45FPS for fun.

WHAT IS GOING ON!?

you have the 15fps bug. Restart your sim normally fix it. Also try Windowed mode.

This thing has become a dog. Painful to fly now in all but the most mundane scenarios. I'm dying to get into VR, but why bother with this mess? I just know it's going to disappoint.

I wish Asobo would throw away the roadmap and focus solely on significant performance improvements.... like 50% to 100% improvements!

I found setting my graphics to default fixed it.

For a major company they sure have alot of server problems. They should get Google to run their servers.

I just fired it up for the first time since the update to see what all the commotion was about because I have never had any performance issues. Terrible stuttering, pauses. Changed vsync from 30 to 60, worked for a few minutes then back to the stuttering. 15fps with the "Limited by CPU main core" message. Never seen that before either. i7-10700k @ 4.7, 3080 gpu, 32gb memory. Have never used a cache. Unusable right now..

You can't load the game at all right now. So hang on. they are fixing it.

Every company has server issues once and a while.

Not like MSFS.  They have had three server crashes in the last two weeks, two of which lasted many hours. Google has never had anything like that happen.

Google has been using advanced replication with BGP re-routing since day # 1, so things crash but recover near instantly. Looks like MS is using a vanilla config. Google actually uses cheapo hardware (well they used to, maybe not anymore), but their networking layer is crash resilient from the BGP and the replication. It's expensive to do things that way and usually unneeded, but it is strange MS has so many issues. BGP by itself is a normal feature, but Google has BGP replication working with routers that change the routes in real-time to compensate crashes. Azure was one of the most issue prone networks prior to 2018, it did get better though, not sure about now. The actual publicly offered Google Hosting Cloud service wasn't that good though, most replication has to be designed from the ground up for the specific APP you are using if it's going to be truly resilient. Most likely it's just human error or changes they are making, rather than server problems.

Works fine here.

This is really strange, a lot of folks are having problems, whereas others - like me - see no changes at all. Still the same performance as before Tuesday's update.
