March 17, 20215 yr First impressions are really good. I’m enroute right now flying SBA-SFO but everything has gone smoothly so far. It flew a SID with tight turns out of SBA quite well. Overall flight is nicely stable and predictable. Lots of nice QOL features as well, I love that the throttle axis calibration (including proper reverse zones) is right in the sim, took me all of 20 seconds to get set up. I tried importing a simbrief plan using the tutorial that was posted earlier but I also got an error. I’m wondering if it’s because my folder was differently named from his - his final folder was “work”, mine was “work_default” or something like that. I’ll try creating a “work” folder and see if that fixes it. I’m sure I’ll have more thoughts as I go but so far I’m very impressed, this is a much, much better CRJ than we had in P3D. But the thing so many cannot get it to even function basics.. no Avionics or CTDs. I got to fly it a couple of times today... and they seem fine. But It's like a box of chocolate.. You never know what you are gonna get! CTDs? or Dark avionics but engine is turned on or Everything is good. Edited March 17, 20215 yr by Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

Their documentation for Steam says plans go here "%APPDATA%\\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\aerosoft‐crj\work" Well my computer said that doesn't exist, and I was putting it in "D:\MS Flightsim packages\Community\aerosoft-crj\Work_Defaults" which ALSO has the default flight plan files in it. After searching ALL of my drives for the default plans, I find "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\aerosoft-crj\work" ALSO has the default flight plans. This is the same folder stuff like the throttle file for the A32NX go into. So, their documentation is faulty! Read this thread https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/160517-sim-keeps-crashing-trying-to-load-the-crj/ For many its CTD when you start a flight with the CRJ and for some its dark cockpit but the engine is turned on. And for many its good and and when its good, it seems to be awesome. I've experienced all 3.Spent the whole day trying different things experienced all 3. Dark cockpit. CTD and fly decent. March 17, 20215 yr So you personally happen to have a problem on your system, and that concludes that the product is not ready to be released. I'll give you my personal experience: It works flawlessly. The installation was quick. The first initialization which they said could last up to 10 minutes was over in 1 minute and the thing flies more reliable than the P3D version and performs better. I'm sure it is not bug free. No new released piece of software ever is. But it certainly functions as it should on my system Therefore I conclude it IS ready for primetime. What it needs in the future is Charts integration (Asobo needs to make this possible with the WASM approach) and the other variants. Here in Europe the 900 is much more frequently used. March 17, 20215 yr Love this plane. Worth every penny. The most complex plane yet and probably for some time given the snails pace of some other developers. The EFB is great. Systems are bloody nice. Model is super. Loaded on the MS site in one minute and installed itself - and for that ASOBO/MS gets high praise. No longer necessary to go out of the system. In fact I like it way better than the P3D version though it may have updated the last time I used P3D - which was well over a year ago. I can't get over this EFB. The CHECKLISTS, PERFORMANCE, AIRCRAFT, MAINTENANCE and OPTIONS pages. Bravo for incorporating all these pages in the EFB. Opening the door and stairs, GPU, aircraft states, etc. The FMS with the loading flightplan from SimBrief and it's numerous features on perf/init. I'm just digging back into the several documents for the plane. I'm giving a big thumbs up. Ryzen 7 5800x, 64gb, 7900XTX 24gb

Thanks It's still pretty buggy, the flight path symbol will jump from up 15 degrees for no reason during a couple of seconds, multiple time during the approach. But I think it's fixable. But unlike what they told me on Aerosoft forum, it's not collimated and I think it will stay that way. Aside from that, I think with the quality-price of this addon, a lot of famous addon company will start to become really nervous.

T45 Yes. It works similarly to Boeing or Airbus nav systems. It will follow your flightplan route from waypoint to waypoint automatically. Unlike the bigger airliners, it will not automatically climb and descend (VNAV), but it does offer some guidance cues to help you descend on the correct path.
