March 19, 20215 yr Wakes for AI ship traffic is there. Nothing about wakes for float planes though?! Surely that is a 1000 times more important? Integration between float planes and water in this sim are comical at best. This whole “let the community vote” thing is just dumb”. People don’t know what they want until you show them. March 19, 20215 yr I am baffled - by the change concerning the turbo prop engine logic « issues ». Scheduled for SU4 before, it is now spread over three SU. Does it mean that we wont have a decent turboprop engine before 2022 ? - by the solution they work on for the excessive icing effect. An Off switch ? They are kiddin’ right ? The Lotus L-39 in FSX had well represented icing, they can’t do it now ? The voting system reminds me of a safety valve on a pressure cooker.🤣 Dominique Simming since 1981 - [email protected] GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 1080 with 8 GB VRAM running a 27" @ 2560*1440 - Windows 10 - Warthog HOTAS - MFG pedals - MSFS Standard version with Steam
March 19, 20215 yr I just saw the timelaps. Looked good.. but, wait, are there really no Stratus clouds on that 9 hour flight? I usually do some vfr in in msfs so didn't notice yet, but now.. Victor Roos

They've already previously said that the wishlist with community voting isn't some mechanism to literally write their dev roadmap for them - it's just a means for the community to express the things they want most, which Asobo then take into consideration when deciding what to add to the sim. Much the same as the buglist doesn't literally decide which bugs are solved first, as you can see by the release windows for all items being all over the place. I think it's fine as a means to let the community essentially petition them about issues or features - which is all it is. And most of the things in both lists are no-brainers to begin with.
March 19, 20215 yr I wonder what the status 'Matches FAA' means for 'ATC Incorrect Phraseology'? Is this what they're aiming for in SU IV? If so, they're continuing to alienate most of the rest of the world - matches ICAO would at least please a greater number of people, but automatically switching between the two based on location would be best. March 19, 20215 yr Man, what a muddle. I used to have high expectations for the sim. I was all excited. 7-8 months later, I now read these forums for updates and just take a back seat. This looks like it will be at least another year before one could consider it out of 'beta' state. Depending on your own take of course. This is merely my opinion.

This is the one thing that stuck out for me too in an otherwise good update. Please fix it Asobo, don’t just let us turn it off. Hopefully this is just an Interim step. The thing is, the alternatives are just so so, you open XP and then you realize that we are sort of paradox love and hate relationship with MSFS lol. Still, I can't believe they introduced this stupid performance issue instead of actually improving on the performance. That’s why I’m giving it a test for a while. See what happens. Just popping in the forums instead.

Basically they said it will allow them to generate better features graphically, but it is not expected to give much in terms of a performance improvement.
