March 26, 20215 yr MARCH 25TH, 2021 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE Posted by: Microsoft Flight Simulator Team Screenshot by BobbyFuzzy – Dream Vacation: Dubai, UAE Thank you so much for your continued engagement and feedback! Because of your feedback on performance/framerate issues we have been better able to diagnose the underlying problems. To help address some of these issues we are releasing a patch (1.14.6.0) that we anticipate will be available to download from the Windows Store and Steam tomorrow, March 26th. The following issues will be addressed: Performance optimizations when flying close to large airports such as Dallas-Ft Worth (KDFW) Performance optimizations of server requests when in the menus and during flight While this fix may not address all performance related issues we believe this patch will help many of you get back to flying and encourage you to provide feedback on this patch as we continue to improve the sim performance with each future update. Thanks! –MSFS TEAM- DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP Click here for the web-friendly version. FEEDBACK SNAPSHOT Click here for the web-friendly version. March 26, 20215 yr well it seems tomorrow is the day of reckoning to see if they fix the performance issue. MSFS Alpha tester on W10 Pro x64. Hardware: AMD 5900X 12 core CPU. March 26, 20215 yr Patch tomorrow? Guess I'm sticking to Cornwall for today's flights then. Luckily Asobo have done an amazing job of the UK update so happy to stay there a bit longer. Nice to see they've gone some way to fixing the performance. Would have preferred more comment on how they plan to avoid recurrences and perhaps a little... contrition? i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
March 26, 20215 yr Author Alright, since they're not updating the Marketplace today, I guess the patch was indeed scheduled for today but had to be delayed in the last minute because of some server issues or something else. Feedback Snapshot is identical to the one I posted earlier. Tomorrow it is! Hopefully it will be a good one.
March 26, 20215 yr I have a feeling that this does fix a handful of fields but some might remain. Calling out DFW is interesting. I know thats where most of the videos diagnosing the issue show, but for me its all Class B airports.

I get terrible FPS at LFPG and KJFK, like 5-10 FPS in some areas. edit: Huh I just loaded up JFK now, and it's better than before, still not as good as their other Star airports, but better. I wonder if something happened last patch. So they're updating the ATC Phraseology in SU4, but it looks like it will only be FAA phraseology. Edited March 26, 20215 yr by Tuskin38

March 26, 20215 yr I guess tomorrow we will know if it's actually fixed or "Asobo fixed" Personally if it were me I'd go find some FPS "black holes" that haven't been mentioned in any forum threads and keep the private until after the patch. It wouldn't surprise me if they just manually fixed the locations people have explicitly called out but left all the others. March 26, 20215 yr Hmm, I think, that SU3 performance problem will not be solved. Asobo tells about a biger airports areas, but there are heavy performance problems in a many locations very far from any big airport.
