Bob, did you delete the CTD VACCINE yet?

Let me know when you have.

If you want some help getting MSFS 2020 back up to speed.

Yeah .I deleted it/ Just installed P3D. Going to take awhile to set it up, so maybe I will try one more flight tonight with Mess 2020.and see what happens.

There is a part me that wonders if MSFS will ever be able to handle complex jets, like PMDG, etc.. That would be a problem.

I have been flying the CRJ today from LAX to DFW. No noticeable stutters to speak of in either location. I keep my frame rates locked at 30. It normally maintains that 95 percent of the time. I did see it drop to 26 on the ground at KLAX, but it was a smooth drop- not stuttering. It recovered to 30 as soon as I became airborne and left the immediate airport vicinity. About 28 on approach and on the ground at DFW.

I have a GTX1080Ti and a 4790K CPU, OC to 4.5GHz. 4 K monitor, render scaling at 80, terrain and texture detail at 140. Clouds, textures and trees at Ultra - everything else at high. I do not use either the rolling or manual cache, nor do I use AI or the built-in ATC.

No CTDs. I have never yet had a CTD in the sim since joining the Alpha program last June.

Overall performance is definitely better than before the recent patch, when I would see the frame rate at places like DFW drop to the low 20s or even upper teens, and like everyone else, I would get 2FPS at 76T.

I don’t generally get CTD’s either, and after reading some of the recent threads, I assume now that it is not the CRJ causing the stutters. As soon time allows, I will attempt a flight in a less congested area. The issues I’ve had so far have only been on final to O’Hare.

Tested around Strasbourg today and no major problems, a few mini stutters but I've has these in P3D so  I'm quite happy with MSFS

I've experienced my first CTD in a long while today.  5 minutes after take off from Orbx EGLC.  I know it's always tricky there in terms of frame rates but not had a CTD before.  Apart from that, still experiencing stutters through less complex parts of the UK.

Adobo needs to get this fiasco behind them. Marketplace will dry up, Developers will think three times before putting any resources in this, You tube videos have already come to a halt. There are only so many first time buyers out there. I really wanted this to be the ultimate SIm and it looked like just that when it was released. I built this computer just for it. I really don't see much of a path forward for MS2020 if past history is any indication. All we can do now is wait and hope for the best. No complaining or voting will do any good. They either have the ability or not to keep this franchise going for another few years.

Dear all, I have no real big problems and enjoy the sim quite well. There are a few things however that should and will be fixed for sure.  Yet, I would not like to go back to a legacy sim.

Please don't get me wrong, I truly appreciate the frustration I sense reading the comments, and I know most here have nothing but good intention to help each other. I also like that this is a well managed forum!.

However, I think we can (and should) do more than become frustrated and wait and hope for the best, For one single reason - we know a lot as a community of users and If we don't communicate constructively with the developers we have more to lose than the developers. If this thing fails (and becomes a real fiasco), they will all have jobs doing other things and we will be back as before with our hobby as in the last 2 (or more) - decades 😦. We should (for example) report more use cases and provide feedback (not necessarily here, but in the MSFS user support system), so they can see facts, track results, take accountability for their performance md share their evaluation with the community.

With MSFS 2020, Microsoft has built for us flight simmers a lot: There is a strong and well funded ($$$) dev team along with a diverse and specialized partners network. There is a huge global and open community, support infrastructure  etc etc, etc,  This is quite beyond anything we had before. And is for us because we are the ones who pay.

Going on the same flight I did this afternoon after removing the CTD vaccine. Took a quick look at P3D, after I downloaded it. It is a let down after MSFS 2020, that's for sure. MSFS is like crack cocaine once you fly it. Hoping they can fix MSFS  to the point where it is useable.

I knew that was going to happen.  Me - really happy with MSFS.  🙃

ESSA, ESSB, ESGJ, EETN, ENGM, EFHK... and the list goes on! Still a "stutterfest"!

Strange, I fly to these airports on a regular basis, and I get smooth performance without any stuttering at all at these airports, Scandinavia as a whole provides superb performance for me, and has always done so, except after SU3 until this fix corrected it again.

But KSEA and surrounding areas are another story, that area have been a stuttering mess since release for me.

KSEA is the only airport that have experienced the stuttering. Everything else is very smooth.

CTD on a 4 mile final to KFRG.. No surprise at all. Tomorrow is setup day for P3D.

I really don't get it. I never had a CTD in MSFS. There has to be a reason why some can't fly and others have no issue.

Mercifully ok on my system, although there is still the occasional stutter tat I don’t believe was there pre-SU3. Strangely I have found changing VSync from fast to on in NVCP helped stutters, in AC Odyssey as well.

Have you checked how much Ram your flight route uses? I read that you only have 16GB, maybe your RAM memory is full at the end of the route and that Windows is forced to use its paging file, I wonder if that may be the cause of your CTD problems?

It usually reads about 65%
