I think you're confusing GPU (3090) with CPU (10900k).  We are talking about GPU overclocking not being stable in MSFS with recent drivers.

Haha, you were just a bit quicker than me, edited it.

que os drivers quebram P3D e XP11 caso você queira saber.

absolutely correct. P3D doesn't even open. I had to use the DDU and go back to the previous one.

So I tried this driver out and it’s actually good for me. I’ve been stuck on 457.51 for the longest time as more recent drivers suffered quick CTDs in MSFS with my OC on the 3090. But this driver is stable. It also gave me about 3FPS extra (from 60 to 63FPS at 4K) at my usual FPS test spot.

I also updated my VBIOS to enable resizable BAR, but have zero titles that can use it 😞

Anyway, thumbs up from me on this driver. The first good one in a few months for me.

Just downloading the new driver now and will report my findings later.  My CPU and BIOS have been updated to use the resizeable BAR and I will update my GPU firmware later to allow this function though note that MSFS does not utilise either.

Can anyone explain how MSFS could be optimised, what effects this may have and how much effort would that be for ASOBO?

I can't see any difference with this new driver either way? I never can whenever there is a new release. I doubt that there's much change other than for newly released cards and games.

Yes I think there more for 30xx, always lots of updates with new cards.

So it is , i use a RTX 2080 Super and had a long brainstorming goeing to new drivers ( from 457.30 ) i think these drivers are fully optimised for RTX 20XX Cards.

So i installed the 461.92 Driver and happy with that ( can not see any significant improvment to the 457.30 so far ) and thinking there is not mutch to get from newer drivers with 20XX cards..

cheers 😉

I have RTX 2080 Super, with the combination of the latest Hotfix and this latest 465.89, I have my best performance ever I had with MSFS from release.

Happy flying.

No issues with my RTX 2080 S either.

Did a 2 hour flight in the experimental version of the FBW A320 last night while tinkering with my Touch Portal setup and it was nice and smooth.

Intel Core i5-12600k, Nvidia RTX 4070 Super, 128 Gigs.

Going from 457.30, this new driver was a definite downgrade for me. I enabled HAGS, as advised, and fired up a plane/airport combo that I fly regularly. It instantly became a stutter-fest. I’m running a 3090, so was hoping to be getting some improvement. Alas no, it’s back to old faithful for me.
