Don't worry. I found this to be one of the most toxic communities i experienced so far while at the same time pretending to be something higher than the average gamer.

My update consisted of an update download in the sim of around 17 GB then a store update of 1.7 GB then a further update for Benelux of around 5 GB, all rather strange.

One thing that helped me reach that conclusion, is that I can read.. If you go up a couple of posts you will see that a problem was reported by the beta testers and Asobo ignored it and released the update anyway.

i can't even start the download.  i get a "Access to the content servers is currently unavailable.  Please ensure you have an active internet connection and try again later."  Clearly I have an active internet connection, so I'm not sure what the issue here is.

if update is available....then another nightmare for today

The 23 GB came in here at 100MB continuous, as has every update since the sim was released. Spectrum Cable internet, northeastern US. The main update plus the 5GB France/Belgium update took just over 30 minutes total.

Very similar to my experience then. I thought it was only me.

Do you use a software firewall that might have an issue with a change to the FS exe file and be blocking it ?

Updated in less than 1 hour (Steam + Fs2020 + France Benelux Luxembourg + some items in content manager)

Castles around home are ok, churches not yet !
So, for me, visuals are better.
I did not test many things, but, so far, no problem.

I had download problems to. Deleted last downloaded file from official folder and went like a charme after that.

If you want to fly study planes and you cant handle this you shouldnt whine.

I am part of the Beta test. so I have a much better idea of what is happening that you do. Some bugs were reported and Asobo said. Thx for reporting them. It doesn't mean they had the time to make it to this update. It doesn't mean they ignore the beta tester. You have such a salty view of everything MSFS. This update is about world update not a sim update.  The job of this beta test was to make sure end of the world bug was not discover. It wasn't mean to address everything.
