Well.....not sure where to start with that one 🙂 I Have/had the FG-1D down to close as good as it will ever be, going wow out load with perfect smooth takeoff and landing. Breathtakeing really. The transition from on the ground to lift off is better than anything I know. Its seemless. The Spit I remember from A2A days so its no FG-1D. It was fine, its just a diffrent "dance" to the FG on takeoff but yer it was fine. Landing are totaly diffrent. I landed at EGTK on the short grass strip, I was 80 mph over the threshold and cut the throttle, planted the main wheels and................perfectly straight with another diffrent "dance".....but she does not stop.....LOL........when straight of the end and into the fence...she takes a lot lot longer to land than the FG-1D. She is a spicely girl. My only probelm is I will lose my FG-1D feeling. The one thing I think is really bad is 3 times in the manual it says flaps = nose down. I email them last week to ask if it was going to be fixed, no reply, I found a topic on it in the Xpane forum same problem so its a bad mistake and its not MSFS as the FG pitchers down as it should. I feel there not going to fix it. The VC are on pair the out side textures are better on the spite. FG-1D is a better aircraft and is much closer'er to making you dont think about how to handle it or taxi etc it just has that very polished feel to everything. The Spit is a step down. E.g the engine cannot start in the FG sometimes but the spit feels like a caned start and will start every time. IMO the spit is the best looking fighter ever made. Love it. The FI Spit is very nice put its saddly is no FG-1D....but its a SPIT 😜 O you said about trim. Yes she trims very well. The beast of the FG does not trim out fully you end up with a 20ft climb and 20 ft desent and it sort of keeps level. But you "feel" it is like that this big huge prop and engine not quit upto being trimed out perfectly. man I love the FG. The FI Spit is very nice put its saddly is no FG-1D....but its a SPIT 😜 Good observations David. She fails to brake effectively - and so you have to slam her - and then, of course, you get the nose over if you don't ease off as she comes to walking pace quick enough - that IS annoying me at present - and I do it with alarming regularity. There doesn't seem any way to bring her to an "asserted slow down" on the Roll out. Bloody annoying, as you've witnessed yourself. She floats more than she should - to be sure. She needs more like 75 KIAS over the numbers or you're not going to chew up a load of tarmac or grass before she "deigns" to alight on a 3-pointer. The Flaps issue has been voiced to the Devs - I'm sure they're burning the midnight oil on that one. (You should hear them over at the Sim Outhouse complaining) and justifiably so. I still really like her - it's a great aircraft and it's been very well represented. I'm still too frightened to get in the cockpit of the Corsair - she sounds like a totally different kettle of fish. Busy flying a Caravan C208 to America at the moment. Wait, America might be just the place to pick up a Corsair at the right sort of money. Sitting here in the Pilot's Lodge overlooking superspud's incredible Vagar Airport with the prospect of a dawn departure to Iceland tomorrow (must remember to pick up some Bernard Matthews Turkey Steaks) 416NM to Reykjavik. Less than 15 yards to a bottle of chilled white. Cheers!

April 14, 20215 yr Iceland tomorrow - weather looks awful - but it is what it is. No need for insanity here; - we'll go if it's good enough. And we won't if it's not. All I need is for that wind to back round 30 degrees to the left and we're on our way. Edited April 14, 20215 yr by Will Fly For Cheese

April 15, 20215 yr This video is a wonderful example for those who still think that there is no issue with tree draw distance in general as "one anyway does not see trees that far out in reality": Just compare how well you can see the trees, individual or grouped, at the base of the nearby hills while those hills are already out of the LOD circle in MSFS (I know that some trees are completely missing in the MSFS scenery, I am not referring to those). Nice comparison video. Naysayers aside Asobo knows this is an problem and unrealistic that's why they put a fix mention at the top of the patch notes. Now the issue is why wasn't it in the actual update???
