I am now back at work.....

Has anyone tried the LOD edit, I did last time try 4 but since they butched performance I ended back at LOD 140 just to help....I did one flight last night in the FG-1D at 1,500ft at 300kts and I did see small stutters with LOD back at 200.

Is performance any better and what does LOD 400 look like? 

Franky am appalled at how trees now look. 

Why cannot the PC version have a LOD slider just for trees...is it to hard or to much to ask? and to imply they fixed it in the update is taking the P.

According to the latest dev q&a tree sliders are being considered.

 

If you look at the WU4 trailer it looks like another version of the game, the lod seems much improved in that video.

But the mod's had no influence at all on performance when they worked as best, why could they not incorporate the mod into the code and be happy for help from the community, is it about pride?

Stating factual claims and stating opinions are two different things. Your "truth" is just a guess, an opinion, not objective. That's what the rolling eyes are about.

At the moment my settings in short are : I have no tree mod installed using LOD at 150 and Trees to Ultra, goeing more to LOD 200 does not show a realy improvement to me - IMO.

Didn`t test LOD 400 for ever..

Yes you are right but for the Xbox it is not the same story and they don't like mods that do better than they are capable of.

Isn't that a regular thing in this industry? Haven't seen any other game without huge discrepancies between the advertising and the real product. So why should MSFS be an exception here?

You could not be more wrong: there were several attempts to do this in the gaming industry, all suffering from a more or less huge sh*storm. Just google "E3 downgrade" for example. Even Microsoft had already to explain themselves once, so I really wonder why they continue to show trailers from a superior variant of the sim. Water masks anyone?

It has a name, its called false advertising and is close to illegal.

If I showed a picture of a £10 note and was selling to for £7 and you got a £5 note.....
