April 15, 20215 yr After the patch, it takes several minutes before the game to shut down if I use the built-in "Back to Desktop", does anyone else have the same problem? I have started using Alt + F4 instead, is it safe to use? System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I

April 16, 20215 yr Mine doesn't seem to shut down cleanly most of the time, needs to be killed in task manager... G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
April 16, 20215 yr Same here, not very kosher to kill the program in task manager but huh! April 16, 20215 yr Got the same last night, the game would not even return to the main menu. In my case it turned out to be router issues causing an intermittent internet connection, but the game is far too reliant on an internet connection and the flaky Xbox Live service. April 16, 20215 yr I always use ALT and F4 as I find it rather annoying that we have to go back to the main menu just to quit the game. i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2
April 16, 20215 yr I always just hit the X on the top right of the screen and it closes in one or two seconds.

A bit superstitious I know, but that way I‘ve never had any weird issues (apart from the known ones). i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2

April 16, 20215 yr Just now, hangar said: Bob, you running the sim in a window, why? I have no idea frankly, that is the way I ran P3D, so I just did the same with MSFS. What is the advantage of not doing that?

Have not tested to know if it makes any performance difference if that's what you mean...but...years ago it made a difference with fps, nowdays it's mostly just about personal preference so it's just more immersive in full screen (matter of opinion only, mind you)...but you also have to realize that when you run in a window that your game resolution will match your desktop resolution...which means you need to make sure that you run your desktop res at the same res that you'd like to play the game at. I know that some folks will run their games at a higher res than their desktop...and in that case they need to run the game in full screen.
