It should not affect this at all.

Word is on MSFS forum, Discord and through our support channel that folks are reporting no impact on performance.

Good news.  Thank you.  I do like where this is going.  I have been a loyal REX customer for many years.

Thank you for your support sir.

We are in the process of revising the readme file that was included in the original release per user feedback, as well as feedback here on AVSIM. Thank you all for that. It will now be the Installation & Operations Guide.

For me no change in FPS with REX textures.

Would love correct taxi way signs, I can now look on Jeppesen taxi charts in VR cockpit (Navigraph on Toolbar, WT G3000 in TBM930) , but see wrong signs when I look outside .

I had alread asked about this with the Zinertek product, but will the REX product be compatible with https://www.justflight.com/product/real-taxiways-united-states-class-c-d-airports ?

Looking at the product manual, the only textures I can see conflicting are the ground marking textures at runway thresholds.

But the manual says those textures are optional.

Up to this point we didn't want to comment on this thread as this thread is discussing a product that is not ours.

However, for those of you wondering, yes, we did mention here on Avsim that we would be releasing an update to our add-on in late May. Obviously, the new version of our add-on is delayed but we can assure that we are working on it and it is coming this month.

The reason for the delay is because we are doing a major overhaul to runways, taxiways, parking spaces, aprons, taxi lines, ground markings and more. So it's not a simple update where we are simply doing touch ups or minor enhancements.

We appreciate your patience.

V2.0 was supposed to be out today. Any update?

"We are pleased to announce that we have identfied and found a solution to the cause of the CTDs introduced by World Update 5.

Therefore, the release date of version 2.0 of 'Enhanced Airport Graphics' will be on June 26th, 2021

Originally, we were set to release version 2.0 on June 20 but we will take this additional week until the 26th of June to fully test and make sure that version 2.0 works with World Update 5 with no issues whatsoever.

Version 2.0 will be a FREE UPGRADE to all existing customers!

Thank you for your patience and understanding!"

The above is from their website.

For those of you using REX, we identified and fixed the issue the same day WU5 was released.

Please make sure to update: https://bit.ly/3xF4QHn

Thank you and enjoy!

For those concerned about installation instructions, don't be.

I installed yesterday by simply following the basic instruction of installing to path outside the simulator path and outside program files.  You simply click on the application and it does everything for you in about 30 seconds.

It takes literally about 10 more seconds to install than installing directly in to community.

I did not have to disable anything.

I already have Zinertek HD textures and got it from day one. Haven't used it since it supposedly caused CTD's (I never experienced that) but I can't wait for the 2.0

Comparing the screen shots between default, Rex and the 2.0 Zinertek, I think I'd stick with a free update from Zinertek.

I wonder if there are mods that help with airport building textures as well?

Greetings.

I was looking at both products, and based on the YouTube review snow does not cover runways and taxiways in ZInertek. Does REX has the same "issue" when snow does not cover runways and taxiways?

Thanks

I'm seeing snow on runways, but not taxiways with Zinertek. I don't own Rex ones so I can't check that.

That what the reviewer noticed too. Comparing to default almost no snow on runways.
