It may just become the go-to for sightseeing. There was a 305/L19 military variant at the Army airfield I served at but it seldom got flown.  The two T-41s were I guess more inviting.

I've got to admit....this one looks great and is priced right.  You can find a few addons for more than 15 bucks that don't fly well at all.

I wish I had this over their Waco.  I'll consider the 170 for sure.

$15 for the 170B, especially knowing Carenado has already released several decent planes for MSFS for their price level.

Or spend $30 on a CaptainSim reskin.  Hmm... ...

i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

Hopefully Carenado will continue on this vintage kick and bring us the 195! Now THAT would be an instant buy for me. Then we just need some of their turbo props...

Can anyone keep the cylinder head temp in range?

Mine goes full right all the time.. 🤔

Does it taxi well, The other tail wheels are impossible. It cant be that hard. If it was, no one would fly this thing.

Seems quite controllable to me..   Mind you, the Savage Cub is OK too..

They are not all impossible.  The latest variant of the Stearman is fine.  I have never had any issues with the Golden Ages Kinner Sportwing either.  Though having trackIR so you can lean out of the cockpit helps as you can taxi more or less straight instead of weaving.

Bleriot XI is a total PITA to taxi though 😄

Carenado seem to be targeting more and more those people that want a big collection of solid but cheaper planes that they occasionally fly for a bit of variety, as opposed to targeting the "I only fly two very expensive study level planes but they are both amazing"  crowd, and they are leaving the study level stuff for the developers that specialise in it.  This is a reasonable approach, by making aircraft that look good and fly reasonably well, they can churn out a heap of them and still make good money at a far cheaper price point than they would need to charge for study level.

It is spoilt  a bit by the GPS, but that is the market they are targeting (some people would want an AP and GPS in a Spitfire)  so cannot really complain.

If u click on the dash in the right spot the GPS goes away like it was never there
