July 9, 20214 yr Nice one... ground handling ok including some light rudder dance on takeoff run, flying not too agile and feeling good, CHT bug confirmed, and as already promised the battery is draining and dying with the avail switches in use. Otherwise no big things found atm...and be careful on the brakes 😉 Cheers T. Edited July 9, 20214 yr by Torsen
July 9, 20214 yr I'd rather support Aeroplane Heaven, a small (is in lower sales numbers) developer that is likely to address issues then get-burnt-yet-again Carenado. 🤷♂️

I got burned so many times by Aeroplane H(ell)eaven back in the history that on a side to side review of the available screenshots I would prefer the Carenado one as both do not offer any deeper systems. And in this case the better visuals and modelling make the point. (not even to mention the blasphemy to put Garmin Glass Displays in to the VC as an option in the AH one 😄 ). I was a quite heavy Carenado basher back in P3D times but they really are getting the things quite nice in the new platform and profit a lot of the better base sim. And after the first rough update sessions they are quite nice on the update front nowadays. Still not like the decision to stay marektplace only but thats another story. But as always very subjective and sure your point is a very valid one also. But AH is not that small if you take a look at their history and making a lot of bigger titles sold via JustFlight. And the 140 and the 170 are still so different that both can make sense if someone likes that kind of planes. Cheers T.

Strange also that AH still maintains the same pricing policy like it was for P3D/FSX. C140 is near 100% more expensive that Carenado's C170. Many developers highly reduced prices for MSFS (what is very good for us, customers) and what I see AH has still the same level (and the model itself is not without bugs just to be clear). I think that in this case, with fairly similar models, the price will completely kills C140 sales with such a large price difference.Strange situtation for me with this. Btw. I have both models for P3D and only C140 for MSFS. It is a combined system power and generator switch. The Alabeo 170B ( that this is based on ) had a known bug where the Master Switch only turned on the system electrics and not the generator. You had to turn on the generator separately with a key command or external switch or otherwise the battery went flat. If you are getting a flat battery, maybe they "imported" the bug from the earlier Alabeo product. I have a feeling they imported that bug. The battery went flat about 5 minutes into the flight. July 9, 20214 yr I have the C170B in P3D and the C140 in MSFS. I want to avoid buying from the marketplace if possible. Karl i9-9900K@5,0 | 32GB 3200 | 2080TI | 4K 55" | MSFS | P3D V5
July 9, 20214 yr This is the first Carenado aircraft that uses proper MSFS technology for cockpit text, i.e. the texts are not pixelated contrary to their other aircrafts (by using decals).
July 9, 20214 yr I like the 140 better. But for $15 the 170B is the best looking sim or real life plane, according to my particular taste. Got both. July 9, 20214 yr Yes, in FSX I enlarged almost every compass in panel.cfg, a simple hack, change 2 numbers (height and width of the gauge). 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel.
