July 25, 20214 yr Hi all, I've just published my review of Pyreegue Dev Co's EGPH. Hope you find it an informative and diverting use of 15 minutes of your time! 🙂 Cheers, Filbert filbertflies.com | YouTube | Twitchi7 13700k, GeForce RTX 3080Ti, 32GB RAM
July 25, 20214 yr Great review and thank you for confirming that the ILS approaches work correctly 🙂 AMD Ryzen 7 5800X on ROG CROSSHAIR VIIl DARK HERO (AM4), Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080 V2 OC and 32 GB Vengeance Pro Ram 3600MHz. DELL Alienware AW3420DW 3440x1440 and DELL U2414H
July 25, 20214 yr My local airport, and having flown in and out of it numerous times the level of detail Pyreegrue has put in here is outstanding. Bought. AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive
July 25, 20214 yr Looks superb and agree with Filbert… A few passengers in the terminals would complete this airport.
July 25, 20214 yr Agree with you 100% @mrfilbert, this is a work of art! As one who is generally not fussed about detailed interiors, I have to say they've done a superb job. I can actually go inside the terminal and know where I'm going - the layout is that accurate! Minor glitches inside are that the shops with t-shirts on the rails all have the same t-shirts, and for some reason, the fruit and vegetables in the shops are absolutely massive whereas the other products are the correct size. 😄 An odd issue, but one of so little consequence. In fact, the interior is so accurate, I was actually disappointed when I noticed the toilets are missing on the way to the single digit gates! Likewise, when I went through from airside to landside from the Duty Free shop, it was shame there was nothing modelled there. But so what? Anyone who has flown in and out of EGPH should know the Archimedes screw, so it's inclusion is one of those 'essential non-essentials' for realism. The model version is the first time I've ever seen it in operation, having never spotted the real one being used.😊. One thing that bothers me - and I don't know how easy it would be for the dev to integrate - is that the tower is actually situated on a mound slightly above the level of the roadway, so the bottom of the tower shouldn't be at road level. But the screens in the tower actually have displays relating to the airport - correct maps. Another, as I mentioned in the thread announcing its availability, is that the Spitfire mock-up has been heavily weathered. It makes me think the dev believes it is a real Spitfire rather than a fibreglass replacement for the original RAF Turnhouse Gate Guardian. It really should be 'cleaned up' to almost new appearance, especially as it's not so many years ago that it was cleaned up in real life. There should also be a plaque on the front of the wall which surrounds it. But, my goodness, I'm complaining about things which you'll not notice when in the cockpit, and which those not intimately familiar with the airport won't even be aware of! This and EGAA Belfast International (Aldergrove) are the only 2 airports I've been longing for serious improvement over default since the sim launched, and it's been well worth the wait. There is a WiP freeware which addressed some issues (and pretty well to be fair) but this is well worth shelling out for IMO. Even though I've paid for it, it's like a present celebrating that I'm slowly getting back into flying after my hit and run incident left me with broken ribs, bruised lung and various other injuries. Pretty great timing. Like the review says, don't just sit there, buy it!👍 Edited July 25, 20214 yr by 109Sqn typo OS: Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHzRAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB] SSD: Corsair Force MP510 (for OS); 2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)HDD: Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)
July 25, 20214 yr After this release, I think these guys get bumped up in to the 'day 1 buy' category. I was actually most impressed with the complete model of the landside area (NO UGLY SAT IMAGES) 🙂 Everything else in your review was spot on and checked all the boxes. Inside the terminals you can actually walk up and read the signs clearly. I mean, whoa! Jeff D. July 25, 20214 yr I think here's a developer who clearly made his way to become one of the few truly great artists in scenery development, comparing EGPH with his first scenery I know of: Tivat LYTV. It was nice, but it didn't "feel" like a real airport. I've been to EGPH (quite some time ago), and the "feeling" of leaving the entrance hall and finding the bus stops as I remember them, is making this airport even more immersive than the greatly modeled, textured and lit airside. The amount of detail, clutter, parked cars, lamps - everything creates an atmosphere of a living and breathing airport. And that, I believe, is what sets great developers apart from most of their competitors. I purchased it as soon as I got aware of the release, but thanks MrFilbert for spreading the word in your great - as ever - review. July 25, 20214 yr Thanks for the review I am leaning towards getting this. I'm not really an airport guy but this is spectacular. Edit: I just bought it yay for me! haha Edited July 25, 20214 yr by Todd2

Thanks, much appreciated.👍 I had over 1100 logged hours in MSFS before some lowlife 'bleep' left me for dead on the road, but trying to pull back on my Fulcrum yoke was just too painful until the last few days, and that's 6 weeks after the event. But that same effort on the yoke should provide my arms with a little of the exercise they now need.🙂 OS: Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHzRAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB] SSD: Corsair Force MP510 (for OS); 2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)HDD: Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)

July 25, 20214 yr Getting about 18 to 21 fps flying over the airport not too bad. I'm getting 30 + fps flying around the town of Edinburgh.

Hopefully the front wheel on his motorbike will fall off as he goes round a tight bend on an empty road... And then he's identified so I can get the £500 it's cost me in destroyed cycle clothing and helmet.🤞 OS: Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHzRAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB] SSD: Corsair Force MP510 (for OS); 2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)HDD: Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)
